I had to abort the flight - whilst i like the flying i wasted about an hour for nothing,

• Xbox Series X Latest Beta, C208 Medivac flight YGAW to Bathurst, RNAV approach mission step did not trigger so was unable to complete flight after completing the RNAV approach, landing and shutdown.

I aborted the flight, but when going back to map screen, it frooze with a low resolution white cursor at top left of screen, as if I was on a PC with a mouse.

Another flight today in the PC12, Bunderburg to Shepperton on a Medivac, exactly the same issue with the last waypoint not progressing, leaving no option other than aborting the flight after landing.

Today, with 4th beta build, I had a career flight with C172 to an airfield with grass runway. During the ground roll on the rwy I was penalized for entering taxiway without announcement, after parking and engine shutdown I successfully ended that career flight. However, then wasn’t able to return back to the career menu due to endless spinning circle. This is a new one. Had to Alt+F4.
I’m really fed up with this sim - no flight without major problems, not to speak of small ridiculous or annoying things like pink AI aircraft with missing textures, private jets parked behind a shed on a grass airfield, ground vehicles driving through taxiing aircraft…
If they don’t come up with a MAJOR bug fixing initiative, I will give up and go back to FS2020.

This is a bug that often happens when you fly an insturment approach into an airport that - as far as FS2024 is concerned at least - is uncontrolled. ATC wants you to ‘contact tower’, but there is no tower to answer your calls so the mission progress gets stuck.

There’s a workaround for this in that you can just take off from the destination airport again and fly another approach while making the appropriate calls for an uncontrolled airfield through the reset ATC window. With that your landing should count and the mission continue, or at least it always did for me so far.
(I also usually re-fly the approach from the indicated waypoint where progress got stuck, but I strongly suspect that isn’t really necessary. The important bit is to reset the ATC window and make the calls.)

Thanks for that hint, but in my case, despite having some problem with the ATC window, I indeed hat finished the flight and the “Mission success” screen was shown, just with an infineitely spinning disc and not returning to the career headquarter. At least, my success and income was there after restarting FS.

I usually ask for VFR and stop using ATC as much as i can. I loose points - but i dont care. I call the airfield i am landing at to ask for permission.
