So there’s the answer to that, state of mid July 2025:
Still messed up bad, one of the best places in the sim is ruined,
XboxX, FS 2020, with the add-on scenery pack.
Bravo
Fix it, ridiculous looking wasted scenery

Days and weeks and months go by….
They probably see the heat map and see how few people fly around there and think it’s not worth fixing. However, the question is: how many people don’t fly there because it looks horrible.
@Jigsaw407 Totally agree! I used to fly there regularly. But it is so depressingly ugly now that there is no point. ![]()
Before creating new “City Updates” filled ugly PG trees and green tinted buildings, I wish Asobo would fix major broken scenery items like Niagara Falls.
If that is too much for them while they fix core flight sim issues, they should commission developers like @bijanstudio and Cli4D to produce a “Local Natural Wonders” series …and commission developers like mv46 (see https://flightsim.to/profile/mv46/uploads) and @PipsPriller and his Time Machine Designs colleagues (see https://www.timemachinedesigns.co.uk) to produce a “Local Architectural Wonders” series.
@Jigsaw407 I completely agree with you.
The FS2020 addon for Niagra Falls is / was AMAZING. I am still using in in FS2024.
There is a bit of a wonky rock formation at the crest of the American Falls and a few bits here and there that are not optimized but it’s still night and day from the current situation.
No prob here…
I have Jeppeson’s Niagara Falls and I never thought it look better in 2024 than 2020. SU16 ruined it in 2020.
I agree it’s much better than the default in 2024 and either way it’s worth it at the price posted on Flightsim.to due to all the work Jeppeson put into the scenery. But unfortunately, there are floating objects and people near the falls in both 2020 and 2024.
@WaterLattice34 Thats interesting and good to know. I switched completely to FS2024 when it came out. I put the latest Jeppeson2001 version in the community folder of FS2024 and it works beautifully. Only issue for me is some bulging rocks at the top of the American side (falls).
Fs2024: From the air everything looks nice. And I will agree the falls look nice up close even with the bulging rocks.
Let’s have a closer look at water elevation issues.
The rest of the screenshots show a few of many defects.
FS2020: Much the same regarding floating objects and water elevation issues. But SU16 destroyed the falls. I feel bad for the developer.
@WaterLattice34 That is indeed a mess on your end my friend….
This is what I am experiencing with the jeppeson2001-niagara-falls add-on in FS2024.
Having a very hard time believing you don’t have some third party scenery here - those water colors alone don’t seem native at all, and your falls are significantly better-off than they are for many (if not all) others using default scenery. Here’s what the American falls looks like in the vanilla sim compared to yours:
You’ve even got the Maid of the Mist docks with people rendered waiting to board - there’s no way that is without mods.
Edit: I will say the state of the falls area does look much better right now than it has previously, though there are still some weird elevation issues.
In all fairness all of your screenshots except one are aerial shots. Use the drone like I did and go have a closer look at the areas I posted screenshots.
It’s the Jeppeson Niagara Falls scenery. ![]()
I missed that entire part of the conversation - my bad!
