Hi,
whenever I do night flying, scenery is not so dark as it should be.
This is how I see it. Midnight (local time).
I’ve read it could be related to moon over exagerated brightness (3/4 moon tonight).
Any posible fix inside the graphics settings?
Looks fine on my Monitor…
You might want to try adjusting your monitor settings.
Note: Down at these dark setting (just like in real life), your ability to see in a dark scene depends on the current state of your Night Vision.
ie It will make a big difference if you are looking at your Monitor in a Dark room (like “at night”), or in a room with the sun streaming in through a nearly window, (like “Daytime”)
Just for extra info. Almost full moon last night (in real life). I was driving home at almost midnight.
Mountains and terrain in real life area were far from being as bright as in the picture. Mountains were almost pitch black and the only thing noticeable was the sky being a little brighter where the moon was.
Maybe moon lighting in the simulator is a bit exagerated? That’s what I can confirm after yesterdays real life testing.
If you have the sim or windows set to HDR and the other not it can cause problems like this.
Make sure they are both HDR on or OFF.
There is also per application colour, brightness etc tuning in NVIDIA control panel if you use an NV card. Or maybe the global is set wrong.
Full or no moon makes zero difference in a huge city full of flood lights. People are completely crazy on this subject. MSFS2020 have no light at night. I can see my neighbor airport 10 km from my house and in the simulator I can’t see the runway 10 feet above. Joke.
