Is anyone flying in the Southeast USA? Are there thunderstorms occurring in Florida?
Short flight test LIRF to LSZH clear sky as expected, it is also in real life, live weather seems working now.
Almost certainly nothing to do with it.
I’ve done this in my career many times in IT, mostly by accident. I send out a company email stating that such, and such a change is going to be made at a certain time, telling our users why, and what they should expect. Then I get tied up with something else, and don’t have time to implement the change.
The following day I get help desk tickets stating things like “Since the change you made yesterday, such and such has stopped working for me”. But I never made any changes, but the users assume I did, and link some new issue they discovered to what didn’t actually happen.
The ash clouds color is a normal thing if you fly real, it’s light and weather depending. So, don’t touch the ash volcanic clouds, please.
I have flown plenty for real, starting in the late 80’s - - never seen clouds over or around me like that. It is/was a known issue that had been greatly corrected in recent builds.
Yes, I understand what you’re saying, @hobanagerik. While I can grant you the slow startups were most likely not related, the low bandwidth and loss of ATC voices was reported by many during the Azure issue, so I felt I needed to report it. I had actually debated whether to report the issues last night or not. Can you explain the low bandwidth and loss of ATC voices any other way? I still think it was related in some way (cache somewhere, server not sync’d?).
I’m not seeing any of the issues this morning, so it will probably remain a mystery.
All I suggested was your slow startup were probably nothing to do with the Azure issues. The other issues we have experienced were definitely Azure issues, which a member of staff has confirmed in this thread.
I guess he referring to the shadows on the bottoms because they are grey? They look correct to me.
Anybody live in Chicago (or that region) are there clear skies, currently? ![]()
Currently MDW-LAX, just entered Denver Center. Clear skies, have not seen a cloud yet
Is that accurate?
Check windy.com to see wind, clouds, rain, etc. Works great, you can even access METARs through the site.
fantastic website
Very good website. Can also turn on/off airports and a plethora of other things.
No live weather for me in south east Texas. Went off line and back on again and still no clouds. Metal shows July not feb here! Clear sky’s in sim but overcast in live weather outside.
The METARs still don’t work for me neither. Flying over Malaga (LEMG) just moments ago, the 17h30 was not injected. See screenshot, which shows the then current 17h30 METARs on my Sky4Sim Pad to the left, while the sim still had the old 17h00 METAR to the right. I deactivated and reactivated online services before the flight, as recommended. That did not help. The current wheather itself injected correctly when the flight was loaded.
Epic website for all the meteorologists and statisticians!
Here is MSFS vs Windy.com weather. I’d say MSFS nailed it.
Is live weather generating TS activity in the southeast today? If not then live weather is (still) broken.
Until this weather engine is able to properly depict a TS then it will never be considered “fixed” to me.
