I’ve noticed the absence of long contrails in FS2024 with AI traffic.
We could see them clearly in FS2020. Is there any way to get them to appear in FS2024?
To illustrate what I mean, here is a screenshot from FS2020…

I also very much miss contrails. It’s a huge immersion thing and not having them makes something feel missing.There’s a voting thread here, for what it’s worth. There might be others. Passive/multiplayer aircraft contrails [2024]

In FS2020 were you using a 3rd party addon for traffic like FSLTL ?. I know this type of addon is modifying the contrail length for longer ones.
FSLTL or BATC. In FS2020 both produce long contrails, as seen from the ground.
In FS2024 neither of them produce long contrails. So it must be the sim.
Ps. I tracked an aircraft (in LittleNavMap) flying at 35,000ft overhead, and in FS2024 from the ground I can make out only the flashing strobes to signify its presence. But nothing else.
I hope they can be reinstated.

With FS2020 to view contrails you have to be at flight level giving you outside air Temperatur (OAT) below 40°C or lower
Otherwise no contrails
So if you are on ground…
I would recommend to report to FSLTL / BATC the issue since they are 3rd party. They may have to make some adjustments to their AI aircraft contrail length effect.
