No more Airport Services vehicles with Beta 1.7.7.0 ( fixed with 1.7.11.0)

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time since Beta 1.7.7.0. (may be …6.0)

REPRODUCTION STEPS

I have noticed that there are no more active Airport Services Vehicle at all. I mean by “active” that the vehicles do not taxi in their dedicated taxiway. When the Scenery is launched there are some vehicles spawn on some parking as normal but they stay indefinitely. I’ve tried on various airports with the same result. I rolled back to the regular 1.6.34.0 version and everything is going well and ASV are available and driving around the airport.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode : Yes

Moved to Sim Update 5 Beta | MSFS 2024 since OP indicated to be in the Beta.

Can replicate (tested at KJFK & KLAX), no vehicles at all.
Developer Mode is off.
Related options are set to ultra:

I thank you. Yes I forgot to mention that my appropriate settings are set to “ultra”.

Confirmed by sitting at EGCC for approximately 1 hour just watching AI ground vehicles and AI air traffic (and saddened by being reminded that the depiction of AI air traffic on the built-in tablet bears little resemblance to what’s happening in the sim). With all settings on Ultra there was zero movement of ground traffic.

Fixed with the latest 1.7.11.0. Thank you for that.

Personal comments:
I confirm too as fixed.
But what I understand of this new option:

Is not related to “ground services” (like luggage, catering, fuel, etc…) as stated but to “Airport Services”. If there was already an option to turn it off with the “Quantity” setting, why an new one has been added in “Assistances” ?. It seems confusing to have the same option in 2 different screens and it is not really an assistance option.

I haven’t tried it yet, but my understanding is that this will prevent the airport services (random cars on taxiways, refill truck and maybe even the randomly walking around people) from moving??

Yes I think you’re right. Preventing vehicles from taxiing on taxiways solves this problem of course but it creates another one because of this “sleeping” vehicles on parking. If you are at an airfield with not too many gates/parking and if your “Airport Services Quantity” is set with a high value, there is big risk that, because parking are fulfilled with vehicles, the ATC won’t be able to assign a parking to a plane because they are considered occupied. So the problem of wandering vehicles is solved but another one is created…
Honnestly this new option is pointless IMHO.

Two flights yesterday I encountered a van on the taxiway after landing. In both cases I had to go around the vehicle to get to the parking spot identified by the ramp worker with batons.

Did you have the new option in Assistances disabled and/or the Airport Services Quantity set to OFF ?

No. I didn’t realize we have been provided a new feature which requires us to disable it to eliminate issues. (no criticism intended)

So to avoid this issue, you need to set this option to OFF or Low:

I now understand the difference between “Aircraft Services Quantity” & “Airport Services Motion”
The 1st one is only about quantity and the 2nd one (new one) is only to enable/disable the motion of the vehicles if the 1st option is different than OFF. I initially did not catch it :frowning: .

To avoid this issue, you can also set this option to OFF, it will remove all vehicles:

I decided to experiment with Airport Services Quantity set to Low because I do like to see some activity, just not frequently blocking the taxiways.
