The exterior rain effect is not the best. I can get visible rain in an exterior view if I set heavy rain, and get some light shining on it. I’m not sure at what point the rain becomes “too sparse” to show up in the external view. Could definitely be improved.

I really hope they fix this issue, i love weather & this ruins that part of it for me

Really, this error is over a year old and I have the same problem
i have now reinstalled MSFS community folder and it has not helped
Still getting this. Quite annoying that the rain only shows in cockpit view.

Well it’s bug-logged, which is good, but only has 42 votes since the topic was created in August 2021, which isn’t. For comparison, the #24 lifetime bug in the March 14th lifetime bug list has 288 votes.
Live Weather heavy downpour at KUUU this morning
Look closely at the nose area - you can see visible rain drop trails.
This happened to me for the first time yesterday. From what I understand, SU15 was the last update for FS2020, so I guess we will never have rain again (after already losing thunders and lightnings).
Yes, just, but they are only present when illuminated by landing lights.
At launch of the sim, the lines (rain) were visible in all conditions and not reliant on being illuminated, like this:
If you can get an image where the lines of rain are visible in live weather with no aircraft lights switched on, I will be very surprised!
Stopping now before this becomes a “discussion”.

Sadly I have no hope that this is fixed in 2024 - it is clearly raining in this image as the windows have rain streaking across them - but the rain is still not visible anywhere other than on the windows. It just looks really strange to me.
