No option to "acknowledge last transmission"

Description of the issue: ATC window does not give comm option to respond to ground controller.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? First and only flight so far.

  3. Land, request taxi clearance, receive clearance, attempt to acknowledge fails due to nonexistent menu option in ATC window.

I’ve had this several times when receiving taxi instructions after landing (as in the above photo).

At other times, the co-pilot seems able to handle the acknowledgements, so I don’t know whether an acknowledgement option appears or not.

I would also point out yet another problem with ATC shown in the above picture.

When a transmission is made, the panel shows the full transcript, generally a few lines. When the options appear, they then over-write the last line or two of this transcript. In the picture, you can see “Beechcraft 9DG, acknowledge last” but the line “transmission?” has been erased. The missing lines will not appear by scrolling.

In this case the missing line is obvious, but in some cases it is not - for example an instruction to change altitude could have the vital new altitude missing.

Encountered this as well, both times were upon taxi instructions at a smaller airport, different aircraft.

in every mean, the scrolling transcript is awfull.. sometimes i cannot even see the last line or it is half on screen… atc really needs a complete overhaul

Same with the scrolling menu option. They are awful.

Experienced this at VIDP, one of India’s biggest, as well

Looks like the ATC has been improved in the latest update 1.6.11.

The full text is now being shown, and not being written-over by the options.

Also, in the few flights I’ve made the option to acknowledge is now present.

I’m still getting strange scrolling effects at times, though, when the text continually tries to scroll to the top (and beyond).

So better, but still not right.

I had the same - exactly as OP’s screen shot. (But have not tried yet in yesterday’s update)

I’ve also noticed I don’t get the option to request flight following anymore, only the nearest airport list shows up. Since 1.6.11.

Yes, I noticed this too last night.

Just to prove me wrong, I just got the option for flight following when I got about 10 miles south of Luton airport. Tried lots of times on the way from Southampton but only got the option once.

On the plus side they no longer say underscore anymore. :+1:

I can confirm the same fixes and issues myself.

Additionally, some dialogue is still getting clipped - displays a pop up but doesn’t play audio or is cut off by my co-pilot’s early reply. (ATC are probably not happy about getting squashed all the time but I swear it’s her not me :wink:)

ATIS is inop from comms panel, freq just snaps back to ground/tower. I haven’t trialled manually dialing in ATIS from cockpit.
