I see completely NO difference in Performance Improvement after installing the Update from today .
I think now i have less FPS and more Stutters than before the Update.
Very sad.

Same for me, performance seem to have degraded specially inside cockpit, used to be smooth now its sluggish.
So much better on my side… so smooth!
I6700 16G RAM, 1080GTX, 4K screen 52" set at 2560*1440p, MFS2020 settings on High, can’t complain because it’s such a step forward in terms of perf based on the 3 last flights I’ve done including one in a dense area, which surprised me very postively at this point… I wish you the same!
Yeah, I was going to start a post on how much BETTER the performance is now. The new patch from today was great. Very smooth, and amazing. No need for a new GPU now! LOL.
i7-7700k
GTX 1080ti
Runs great in 4K on HIGH preset.
I have 16 GB main memory. I feel I have a substantial performance boost with the new patch.
Before, when switching views (with the hat, or from cockpit to external) the system would stall for about a second, and then smooth out (for the same scene switches). I think this was due to VM having to swap out stuff to disc so that it could load in new stuff.
Regardless of the reason, it now looks to me that my bottleneck is the GPU, not memory (or CPU either). I have a smoother running system. Note: my experience is with the Cesna in moderately complex scenery.
So, hats off to the developers.
Same here. No improvement, rather degradation.
i9-9900k
GTX 1080 ti
32GB RAM
Game, lib and cache on NVMe
UWQHD 3440x1440
Edit: Sorry, resolution added
Good to know! I put my resolution down to 2550*1440 since MFS2020 which works very good in terms of visual but didn’t use the 4k so far, i’ll give a try!
No improvement here, but now my gauge refresh rate is terrible.
Too me, like before.
If only there was a way to increase it…
Weird some of you are not seeing improvement. My CPU usage went from 100% static.. to now around 73% while flying. GPU is doing most of the work now, and things are smooth and happy. No stutters, no issues at all (so far). Glass cockpits are VERY improved now too. The CJ4 would stutter like crazy, now is silk smooth. Unreal. Night and day.
i7-7700k (4.8)
GTX 1080ti 11gb
64gb 3200 RAM
SSD
4K/60 Display
What’s your definition of “smooth”? 30ish fps smooth or locked 60 fps smooth? And what settings do you use? Oh, and what nvidia driver version?
I wonder if those seeing improvements are those who were getting high CPU usage, but without everyone posting their specs won’t know if that’s true.
I’m the same as @FSMatze with i9-9900k but with rtx 2070 instead and not seeing any improvements if not maybe worse.
@DORRAGER It’s not that much worse but noticeable. But after running MSFS the second time it feels like the loading times have been reduced which is good.
You maybe onto something. I read somewhere that the i9 has worse performance with this sim vs. the older i7 for some reason. No idea why, and very ironic. I defiantly see the CPU about 40% lower than before now on the i7
I mean, I am able to now get a SOLID 48fps in 4K with my i7-7700k and GTX 1080ti.
Totally happy and smooth.
I will say I haven’t restarted the sim since the update maybe that will make a difference as when i tried a flight it seemed to take forever loading into a flight.
Some people here wrote about a performance boost by the new patch, but for me it’s the opposite.
Big airports (I’ve tried Heathrow and O’Hare) are basically unusable now. I get around 10 -12 fps when I try to look around in the cockpit with some 0,5 - 1 second freezes. The audio “buzzes” (quarter-seconds during which the same pitch keeps playing) are unbearable; I had those very occasionally during loading but never once I was in the cockpit.
All the while, both CPU and GPU are pretty bored at 30 - 35 % (“limited by MainThread”), but my whole system feel sluggish (Alt-Tab takes a second or so). I’m running an i7-7700, 16 GB RAM, GTX 2060 Super and had no such problems until the patch.
The culprits are definitely the airports. Heathrow behaves the same in an Icon A5 as it does in an A320, while smaller airports work the same. (I might say a bit slower but I could be imagining that.)
Are you sure you downloaded all 11gb of the patch?
The installer claimed it was 15.68 and the progress bar was all the way to the right, that’s all I know
