FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Everytime a default prop is used for a flight session in MSFS 2024.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Load the aircraft at any spot / airfield, disable Live Weather and set wind to zero, no gusts, so that only prop effects and other control inputs can be related to aircraft aerodynamic behaviour.
Start accelerating on your takeoff run and notice no need for rudder input to overcome prop effects such as torque, slipstream, p-factor or gyro ( no matter if tricycle or taildragger ).
Inflight the same applies and indeed some prop aircraft with CCW rotating props actually show the opposite of the expected left turning tendencies and start banking to the right, like the default Beechcraft 350 in MSFS 2024 Standard edition.
I have started to notice very tame prop effects along the SU5 beta, but now that SU5 went final, they are simply absent! If we enable Live Weather the only factors that influence yaw / roll during the takeoff run will be the winds, so if they’re from your port (left) side and the prop is CCW rotating, you’ll get the idea that prop effects are in play, but, zero the wind and see there are absolutely no left turning tendencies, at least while in contact with ground.
The absent prop effects, which I am sure were there, even if tame, in previous versions of MSFS 2024, are particularly noticeable in models with the “new CFD” enabled.
Might it be because by mystake they left some sort of assistance enabled, like auto trimming or teh like? But truth is I do not see the trim wheels (when available, like in the B350i) moving ?
