I realy hope this bug will be solved in the SU5.
I was about to make a post and then saw this. The airport itself isn’t bad for me but the area around it is terrible. Strangely it seems to be replacing what looks like good photo textures with basic textures as you fly over the terrain.
That is because of the latitude bug i think. Terrible drawdistance. The good quality photos should load in much further away.
I think it’s because Bing has ■■■■■■ imagery for that region. Nothing they can do about it other than acquiring new imagery.
I find it a bit strange that they decided to model Svalbard airport when the surrounding area looks that bad.
One year later, still not fixed
And will most likely never get fixed.
I hope now that they are working on Canada as a WU, they may look into that latitude bug
still nothing, let’s hope for FS2024 to do it better!

Brief description of the issue:
When going to far north airports and cities in the world, Terrain LOD is getting worse even with same 150 Tlod settings in graphics.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Go to ENSB in nighttime, set terrain lod to 150. Go to dronecam and fly above the scenery and start to travel backwards from the city lights, You will start to see the citylights vanish to soon compared to more south places in the world.

i9 13900k, RTX 4090, 32Gb Ram

Im not talking about the aerials. Im talking about the 3D objects and lights placed on top of the aerials.

This seems to still be present in mfs2024!
When flying far north in the world, example far north in Alaska or Svalbard. Terrain LOD at setting 200 equals something like 20-30. Something strange with the terrain lod is making the scenery look bad and pops in and out of lowres/highres tiles.

Northern Sweden/Finland/Norway has always looked bad and even with the latest Nordic WU the issue remains. That’s a real shame because the nature up there is really beautiful.
