Yep, noticed this too. Kind of a pain…
I haven’t had this issue. To be sure, I’m assuming you’re talking about using mouse inputs to control the selection. I use WT G3000. I was just testing today and didn’t see this problem so I’m not sure what’s happening for those who do.
Hmm, weird. Are you using the new mouse lock mode or legacy? I’m using legacy and just literally went from FL450 on Alt to 9000 and it took forever incrementing by 100’s
Edit. I’ve also noticed changing altimeter in both the 'tude and cj4 is buggy.
You probably don’t have the generators on and the batteries have gone flat. If the busses aren’t tied, they feed separate sides of the console.
That was it. Good catch. Ooof, rookie mistake. Thx
Easy enough mistake. I notice you have deleted your posts - it might be better to leave them up for when someone else inevitable does the same. Up to you though.
You know something, now that I’m checking it again, I’m seeing that it’s only incrementing in 100s. I was also doing resyncs from dev mode before when I checked this, so maybe that had something to do with what I was observing previously. I’ll tinker a bit and see if I can come up with a solution. And otherwise, I generally use a key binding on one of my control input devices to control altitude and heading increments, which is not affected by the last update.
It appears this issue exists for several different light aircraft I tested. Not an issue with 787 and 747 - those appear unaffected. So it’s apparently not a universal change in the game, but affects many of the light aircraft including those without modifications running. I am testing a possible solution, but it’s not going well. If I find something that works I’ll post here.
Yeah I checked everything more than once and the mod is alright, perfectly installed. I made a screenshot to show this problem, in the PFD the triangles are never aligned, regardless of the wind conditions, they are always pushing to one side, as if the plane is always trying to start a turn. You can see the horizon is always tilted to one side.
@N98KM I’m starting to seriously consider this noisy yoke possibility. I got a 2005 CH Yoke that has been slowly degrading in precision. In the manufacturers calibration tool you can clearly see the X axis acting irregularly and almost “asking” me to push it to either side to recalibrate it. Besides this rocking problem, since MSFS2020 was released, the AP in the Longitude behaves in a bizarre way, sometimes making sharp turns mid flight completely out of the blue. The only thing that really keeps me from saying for sure it is a problem generated by the Yoke is that it only happens with the Longitude, no other plane behaves likes this, that why I still don’t know for certain who’s the culprit in this situation.
Can you check your rudder trim? Just looking from the chase view should show if it is incorrect. I had this exact problem due to an errant key bind adding rudder trim.
Yes, I use CTRL A and ALT A hot keys assigned to increasing and decreasing altitudes. Just make sure these two keys are not assigned to any other systems. It works 10x faster I promise. I can go from 2,000 and dial in up to 45,000 within minutes or seconds vs using the dial.
What are wind conditions? Depending on wind direction and speed, the longitude for me has a slight rocking and slight up and down movements at high altitudes. The more crosswind causes a rocking back and forth, direct into or with wind causes minor fluctuations in altitude.
I have noticed the my frame rate drop from 45-20 after setting up my flight plan.
I don’t have roadmap on the G3000.
Any suggestions is highly appreciated.
I don’t see any FPS decay with Dakfly’s mod, or with the WT G3K mod (7.4).
If you are using Live Weather you may want to turn off and fly clear skies, see what happens with the rocking. Just a thought.
no difference.
Since Sim Update 5 the pitch trim button is clicking whenever I adjust the trim. Does anyone know if there’s a way to stop that? My hardware is making enough noise already.
I hate that too, wonder what idiot decided that was needed.
If the plane is a-rockin, don’t bother knockin?
I haven’t found a way to override that particular sound file item as I’ve found it irritating as well. Long answer short, the respective xml file that controls this sound effect is encrypted.
