Not AAU1: Cessna Citation Longitude Flight Dynamics Modification Project

Thank you so much.

One last question does VNAV actually work on approach in the Longitude?

VNAV is advisory if you install the G3000 mod. I dont know what you mean about on approach though. The ILS is flown not to badly if you have one available and tuned into NAV1 or NAV2 and also if you select appr on the autopilot. I think the only working VNAV is on the free G1000 available in the marketplace.

OK will take a look at the G3000/ Yes your right in respect of an ILS approach it flies those not too bad but as I understand it from a real life jet Pilot VNAV is used to step down the plane where a glide slope is intercepted and the pilot merely controls flaps etc

hi
an ILS approach descend works fine in the longitude. this has nothing to do with VNAV!
vnav advisory is what you get, ie when to start descend from TOC eg FL350. this does not work automatically. you need to initiate the descend yourself.

You are speaking about flying a STAR. With the G3000 mod, if you have the chart for the arrival you want to fly, you can add it to your flight plan and then key in the altitudes you want to be at on the relevant waypoints. The system will then calculate the top of descent and you will have to, by adjusting vs on the autopilot fly it. But it will do the job.

Sorry @FlashedUnicorn1, I replied without checking the author. I realized I had already sent you this previously.

No problem at all thanks for all your support

I counted at least 2 dozen inoperative buttons in the Longitude. Since the *.cfg file are no longer encrypted, does this mean that these buttons can be made operational?

@Dakfly0219 Just an FYI the longitude mod appears to be making screens white in the SU10 beta… the mod will likely need an update

First is with mod, second without (both WT g3000 installed)

Probably a change withing the panel.cfg file. My guess is they added or removed “$” flag from panel textures or something along those lines. You’re welcome to check. I won’t be loading SU10 beta for a while.

Exactly right…

New Asobo panel.cfg

Your mod

I’m guessing the fix is to copy over all the new texture names?

That seems logical. Give it a try.

You are correct, Nerbulus. I copied over the texture references and it worked fine. Good catch!

Yep same here.
@Dakfly0219 If you want you can put this as an update (for the OnAir version just copy the panel.cfg)

And for anyone else just delete the longitude mod you have in your community folder and copy this to the community folder and your longitude should work fine again.

If using the addon manager, do we uninstall the existing FDE addon for the Longitude and then install this? Or install this on top of it?

The installation process is explained in the mod documentation

So, for the benefit of everyone coming here, it worked for me simply by installing it as a fresh addon and deleting the old one.

If they open up the panel.cfg maybe we can fix the flood light and the panel light being setup as an on/off state. Then change it to a potentiometer so it can be controlled with a button box like the stream deck or loope deck. And also the ability to access the MFD and PFD functions. That would be cool.

Yeah just think of it as a new version. Edited for clarity

Now that SU10 will have the Longitude files decrypted, does this mean more of the aircraft is moddable?
