My dream is for the HUD to be made functional.
Even though itâs not functional in the real world aircraft? Like none of the actual flying Longitudes have it working?
Just a FYI, we still have not got the HUD certified on the real Longitude.
Not sure why it is taking so long.
Whoah, I didnât realize that was the case. So all the Longitudes out there have it, but it canât be enabled?
Only a few have the provision wiring and brackets, still waiting on certification to fully install.
@TXTAVDan - Itâs awesome to have someone with direct knowledge of the Real Longitude here.
So, a question to you (or anyone): I fly (âsimâ) both the Longitude and the CJ4 (Working Title) extensively, and always use the Auto Throttle on the former. When Iâm using the A/T and tapering off the speed as I descend to land, the Longitude slows quite rapidly down to whatever I set it. In contrast, the CJ4 can be hard to slow downâŠeven at the standard 3% descent and minimum throttle I sometimes have to use spoilers to get it below 250 knots at 10,000 feet, and down to 200 knots so I can finally put the flaps/gear down. Does the real Longitude react pretty similarly, i.e. being able to decelerate so quickly?
Not sure, I would have to ask the pilots, the times I have flown on the 700 I didnât notice much SB deployment, seem about the same as the sim, the citation X I have flown on around 250+ times and the SB were used often on it.
I canât speak for the CJ4, I only supervise the Model 700 Flight/Delivery operations.
You should really ask on the Working Title Discord, as there is a CJ4 type-rated pilot on the WT team.
You should try the working title version. I fly CJ4 exclusively and I have no issues controlling approach speeds. the use of spoilers to reduce speed is used in the real world, so donât shy away from doing that.

I do fly the Working Title CJ4 extensively. This is more of a sim realism question about the Longitude, i.e. âdoes the real-life Longitude decel (with auto-throttle) as quickly as the sim version?â. It seems a bit unrealistic that when Iâm descending and I back down the Longitude A/T from say 250 knots to 220, it decels in about 15 seconds, whereas the CJ4 takes quite a bit longer when I pull the throttle back.
When it comes to âcontrolling approach speedsâ, the CJ4 is very easy to control with flaps/gear down, but itâs really about getting it down below 200 knots, the max F15/landing gear down speed.
IRL, the Longitude auto throttle will target a 1kt/sec acceleration, so your 30kt speed change would take about 30 sec if the auto throttle doesnât reach idle. However, it is a very slick aircraft and can be difficult to slow down without adding drag, usually flaps. Speed brakes help, but theyâre relatively small compared to other Citations, and only extend half way with full flaps.

@Nerbulus Thanks a lot for the panel fix, much appreciated!
How to turn External Power ON ??? it seems not working, always needs to start APU, but Iâve seen it turned ON on several videos from Overkillâs prod.
You could read the documentation. But the external power button is near the battery buttons.
On some stands, external power is not available
Youâre passing over the (M)iddle Marker in an Instrument Landing System.
thank you appreciated
What documentation? Textronâs?
Wow, 263 Kts at 1170 ft with 6850 V/S. So much for 250 under 10 rule.
