I’m not able to chose departures & approaches in world map during flight planning. No waypoints are no longer shown as before. I use Simbrief to generate flight plans but I can’t create real departures & approaches manuallu either.

as it unfortunately is not clear to me?
he means he hasnt got the option in world map to select “sids” and “stars” after importing a flight plan from simbrief sounds like its not seeing any waypoints almost like its not an IFR flight plan

Yes, navigraph data is also installed. I am no longer able to choose sids & stars on the old flights I’ve done with Simbrief & Navigraph either. I was setting up the FBW A320 yesterday and everytime I tried to recreate the flight I’ve done in Simbrief, the FMS did not recognize any waypoints.
I don’t have that much experience within flying & flight simulation. I’ve used MSFS since it launched and I’m trying to learn as much as I can.
I have used FBWs A320 almost since they launched it and it has always worked for me, but not anymore. There might be something that I am missing, I have not flown anything for 2 months.
I don’t think I have installed anything new since the last time I flew except for mandatory MSFS & Navigraph updates.

Normally the flightplan upload wouldn‘t load SID and STAR into the FMS. It comes with the first and last waypoint of your dispatched route but departure and arrival are up to ATC, not the planner and will be selected (not typed in!) by the pilots. You get them with the clearance. If you don‘t have any information yet about the expected arrival you select the most probable one for fuel calculation and later adjust your routing.

However the FMS does not recognize the flight plan at all just like MSFS doesn’t seem to recognize the flight plan. Usually in the past I have been able to use the scroll bar to choose sids & stars in the world map as shown in the attached screen shot.
But now it does not let me, I can only choose “Direct”. That would not be a problem if I could enter the flight plan in the FMS but it does not recognize any of the waypoints of the flight plan
(Not only sids or stars).
When I enter a waypoint it forces me to enter the coordinates of that waypoint but it does not accept the coordinates I enter.
Previously when I have created a flight plan, it has recognized a waypoint or at least gave me options to choose from.
If I use standard Asobo A320, it recognizes the flight plan I entered from SimBrief. But of course not the sids & stars.
There is no option to enter sids & stars, I never get those options from ATC. FMS of the standard A320 does not let me change the flight plan so I’m stuck with flying the start & the approach manually by following Navigraph. If I could just get options to what sids & stars I want to fly then I could enter that into the FMS so the plane can follow that but I don’t seem to get those options or I’m missing some new feature.
I don’t get options to request ground services anymore either and ATC seem to treat the flight as VOR flying regardless of conditions. I no longer get the option to declare ready for Taxi or request for takeoff.
I just get the option to announce at what direction I am taking of from.
Maybe that is how the procedure is in real life and MSFS has been updated to that standard, but it feels like ATC has become much simpler and lack the mentioned features it had before.
I thought pilots had to communicate each state of startup/takeoff procedure & taxi to gates at landing, because that’s what I could do to some degree before, but not anymore. The only way I can know what gate to park at after landing now days, is by using GSX.
If it should be that way then I will learn to work with that.

Does this have anything to do with the sim expecting to use airways where none exist due to Free Route Airspace? Is it only occurring at this airport (or region) or is it happening basically anywhere? Is everybody else experiencing this issue at this airport? Those are just a couple ideas you could use to troubleshoot.
When you started the sim after not using it for a while, did you uninstall Navigraph?
The sim would have made some updates, and that needs to be done before every sim update.
If you didn’t, use the Navigraph Nav Data Center to uninstall and then reinstall your data.
That “should” correct the issue.

Do I have to uninstall Navigraph between each sim update? Is there anything else that should be uninstalled?
Another question I’ve been wondering about during this troubleshooting:
Items in MSFS Marketplace, does Asobo gurantee the quality of them?
Run benchmark tests to make sure they work before adding them? or the companies making them has to test?
Do they rely on the community reporting issues after each sim update that they work?
I saw great differences in performance when I uninstalled some things I installed from the Marketplace.
Yes, Navigraph recommends you uninstall NG each and every time a Sim Update is pending, to prevent any mismatches/errors on NavData. Uninstall it. Launch the sim, complete the Sim Update. Close the sim, launch it again, verify NavBlue data is working (i.e., stock sim SID/STARS, Approaches, NavAids are present). Close the sim again. Reinstall Navigraph.

On a slightly related situation, seemingly since SU12 I sometimes get the MSFS planner changing parameters I’ve set when creating a flight plan in the world menu. If I choose a departure airport and set a departure gate from the map it sometimes reverts to runway departure after selecting destination or airway.
Bear in mind though, that is required for sim updates (SU), and not necessarily for world updates (WU).
Asobo also recommends you uninstall everything in your community folder prior to an update.
An easy way to do that is just rename it. The sim will then build an empty new one.
When the update is done and everything is working OK, simply delete the new one and rename the old back again. That way, if you do have issues when you start again with the old community folder, you know the issue is with an addon.
Quality is very subjective.
It really depends on the end user, as to what that user likes, and their rig - as to what may and may not work well on it.
MSFS does not update third party products - that is up to the developer. Some developers do not update their product to keep up to the latest sim version, which can indeed cause issues.
It can also depend on how the developer made the item.
Some developers are quite good at optimizing products for good performance, others not so good.
It has always been this way in flightsims, and probably will remain that way.
So, the answer to your question is, things are checked to a certain degree by the Marketplace staff, but it may not be to your individual standard.

Hi I have the same problem with MFS I can’t put a departure or select waypoints or put approach or sélect an ILS it’s as if there was no data please help it’s been at least 1 week that the problem persists since the update Germany Austria Switzerland, and strangely the game asks me every time to do the update and so it launches a load and I come back to the living room and the update message this re displays thank you in advance
Ps I’m on Xbox cloud gaming so I can’t uninstall and reinstall the game
