how does the ‘spawn 1 random fire nearby’ function work. I hit it and nothing happens. I’m in the CH 47, not using the bucket

PS: I moved the file directly to the Community, rather than link it from another drive, and I saw smoke when I hit the button. Pretty cool.

Cool sounding addon, but with FS2024’s built-in firefighting, it’s a bit too late for me.

I just got this from the marketplace for Xbox X… COMPLETE waste of money. Map doesn’t work at all. I can’t even zoom in or out or move it at all. Complete garbage.

has anyone tested it with fs2024? I’m tempted to buy it. Would be so fun with the chinook or sky crane

works fine on PC, might just be an XBOX issue

… first impressions:

  • fires spawn sometimes over water

  • problems with Life Fire in the mountains (where FF is most difficult and interesting):
    fires are suspended in midair (Patagonia) or invisible (Indonesia volcano - probably under the sim-surface…)

  • Some aircraft do a high pressure ejection forward-down. The water-cloud does its job but it looks weird (747, F27, C-46, DC-3, DC-6, Ford 3M, Hughes, C-130, Caribou, PBY, A320)

  • others look good (AN-2, P750, Stearman, Caravan, Beaver, Twotter, Goose - all slow speed…)
    not sure if this is coming from S. Oaks.

Overall a nice piece to reduce the waiting time for 2024, firefighting there is apparently still plagued by problems.

Hint: with Choppers disable “Fuselage Drop” for more precision
