It may have been an ever so slightly heavy landing - Maybe
Wax on, wax off?
There ain’t nothing “ever so slight” about this bird!
Not sure if this is intentional, but: when starting a flight on the runway, the Transponder is set to STBY by default instead of ON.
Glad you matched Model with Registration location
Hey, while I have not yet done a livery for MSFS (did many for XPlane a few years back), apparently this software, MSFS layout generator, helps with the needed json files: GitHub - HughesMDflyer4/MSFSLayoutGenerator: A drag-and-drop application for updating layout.json files in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) packages.
Best of luck! Thank you for making an Eagle livery for the 330.
If you have stand alone, GPS hardware (ala FlightSimBuilder, as pictured)… you can make the installed, 400 popout (rAlt+click), in to the appropriate GPS (GNS530 in this case)… for that hardware… and its Spad bindings…
Toying around with the cargo boards down on the floor, it’s how we used to do it back in the old days
Still needs some tweaking
I wish someone made Deraya Air Taxi livery for the SD360. I personally will be trying to make Merpati one for SD330, based on the CASA 212
Thanks! that is a cool idea but I would prefer to have the 750 in-cockpit or in the best world a dual 750/650 as irl in the cockpit.
I’m crossing fingers somebody will produce the modded version eventually.
I have absolutely nothing against vintage simulation but I feel sad that often the real life version of the plane is overlooked by the devs. In the end it is what we have flying today and is still in operation and in good health so it makes a lot of sense to simulate that.
While you’re tracing down bugs, I get no CDI movement on the HSI when in GPS mode in the 360
If you can live with just a GTN650, this mod includes a GTN650 in-bezel replacement for the Shorts.
As far as I can see the Deraya Air Taxi SD3-60 is a -300 Model ( 6 bladed prop) so Just be aware it will be slightly “incorrect”
We may be adding the -300 Later however but no time scale
Have you set the CRS from the GPS Track ?
Thanks! That certainly helps!
That would have to be done by, BlackBox… it would require access to the model source files…
On the “mod” train of thought… and I tread carefully, as I don’t want to be too much of… “the emperor has no clothes”… as this flight model has been so widely embraced… I’m working on modifications that more closely replicate what I’d expect from an airplane like this. As posted early in this thread (photos of a 330 and of me in the cockpit)… I spent hours in Warsaw, IA… getting the landing gear on my C177RG repaired (on the way to the Oshkosh Fly-In). Most of that time spent, talking to the owner/pilot of that Shorts. Being fascinated by the “tiny” wings and big, hungry turbines… I picked his brain.
In summary… it’s not exceptionally difficult to fly, but also not forgiving, in the least… particularly, with a full load. There is a very small location, on the front side of the power-curve (both climb-out and approach), on which to stay, that requires deliberate and constant, pilot attention/input. Ya can’t just, “point-n-go”… with thrust to spare… you have to be all over the pitch-n-power, to stay on the sweet spot… V-Speeds must be honored, tightly.
Yup, it’s in GPS mode with a working flightplan on the GPS. Still no lateral movement on the CDI
No problem, there are Skyvan liveries being made for the 330 too. It’s really a versatile aircraft family that could be operated in variety of roles. Me personally would like to see Skyvan’s Argentinian liveries. Or maybe a full Skyvan in the future. Now that would be a treat!
I know this is off topic, so sorry in advance.
But I would love to see a future Blackbox F-27, HS748 and a Viscount 806!!
Could you imagine
