I have been looking to transfer the game over to my ssd.
My question is: will the game run smoother on NTFS? Or the same as EXFAT? If there is no difference I would like to make it eXFAT so I can use it on my Mac for backup.
I formatted mine with NTFS and it seems to work well. I don’t know how it compares with the older way of formatting disks.

You want to transfer the game to a ssd … and when there is no difference between NTFS and exFat you want to use “it” as a back-up for your Mac… makes no sense.
Maybe OSX doesnt have a way to mount a certain format drive. You know the way that windows cant read unix partitons by default.
So it sounds like from his post he can read/write exfat in osx but not ntfs, so with exfat he can mount it and use it for backing up his osx install.
