Nvidia anti-aliasing transparency

Have any tried turning on anti-aliasing transparency in Nvidia control panel? I have never seen this mentioned as something you should touch.

I have struggled long time with visual clarity in VR being ok, but not great. And just accepted that this is what life is like with VR. Tried VD and link cable, but the best results I got with Steam link over wifi.

However after I had to change how I launch the game with Steam link, I felt visuals got worse. Then I thought I would give this one a chance (mostly to get rid of shimmer). Turned on 8x supersample and the visuals are much better and I finally have crisp and clear visuals. But performance impact is quite huge. Had to turn it down to 2x SS, visuals still much better than before, and performance a little bit better than 8x. Performance might be an issue in more demanding environment, but I can never go back from the things I have seen now.

But I dont so much about how this stuff works. And I would love to keep the same clarity, but improve performance. Any ideas?

I have TAA on msfs because of glass cockpit, nothing else an option there.
