Nvidia app does not recognize MSFS 2024 install

Ok, removed the latest folder Xboxgames and used the one at appdata/local… after removing and reinstalling Nividia app it found and other than the filters it is being recongnized as a 3D game at least.

Good news! NVIDIA released an update to their app. (V11.0.1.184) I deleted the previous version before installing this one. I did not have to add or change any subdirectories.

And the FPS counter is working!

My MSFS is now shown, but my settings dosen’t have any impact on the Sim.
I tried to limit the max frames to 60, but MSFS still runs with more

But does it let you access to filters?

yepp, will try it again

You might want to open a ticket with NVIDIA. I could immediately tell the difference in image quality and performance.

I added it now manually

On which file??

That did the trick, working now. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Download and did a CLEAN install of 566.36 12/05/24 driver. nVidia App still does not find MSFS2024.

I can’t add the simulator to the NVidia control panel. What should I do?

Uninstall the nvidia app, and get the new beta and instal it. You can find it at: Download NVIDIA App

Make sure you are using the latest NVIDIA app and driver. (NVIDIA Control Panel is being replaced by the NVIDIA app even though it is still accessible.) Earlier drivers probably don’t support MSFS 2024.

Well, it did but not complete. Sometimes it did not recognize it was running a compatible game.
Butttttt, after this week update it recognized without needing to add the folder in scan files. Then there were two, I removed the folder from scan list and now is ok.
Inside the game when starting in full screen, it fails to recognize the game running so no filters or recording. If you want you can set windowed mode and then return to fullscreen it will recognize the game running but offers only 2 HDR filters only.
So far it is super bugged !

This worked for me. Thank you!

I don’t know if these are HDR filters because I do not use HDR. The two available filters are not available for other apps/games. However, these two filters are WOW! I don’t need any other filters when using these two.

@EuroTexan Thanks! Uninstalling and then reinstalling the Nvidia App worked for me.

Latest drivers fixed everything even the filters are available now.

Same problem here. I have tried to update the app list in the nVidia app serveral times, to no avail. And yes, the installation folder is in the nVidia app’s “search path”.

What I had to do to have the Nvidia app recognize flight Sim is uninstall the Nvidia app and reinstall it. It’s been working since.
