Is there any other way I can update my NVidia graphics card drivers other then Ge force experience?
Till now I have been updating my graphics card drivers using NVidia’s GeForce experience app. However this particular app is not very optimised, After every update tons of GB on my C drive is lost and this not ideal when my space on my C drive is limited.
You don’t have to run GForce Experience at all if you don’t want to. You can install only the drivers without the extra bulk. Just don’t do the default installation and you can pick what you install.
Well put it this way - every time I update my driver via Ge Force Experience, I lose up to 5 GB or more of C Drive space. Over time this gets build up, The only reason why I am concerned is my C/Drive where my windows is installed - the space is limited due to smaller drive.
Something is wrong with your GF install or other thing on your pc, because GF behaves completely different here, at this moment my GF folder in program files occupies less than 200 MB.
Go to the nvidia website, download the driver appropriate for your graphicscard… upon starting up the installer, you will be asked if you’d like to install the Geforce experience, or drivers only… pick drivers only, then select custom install and tick the box “Clean install”, that should usually uninstall the current one and install the new one without all the gunk from Geforce experience… Hope it helps.
