The Nvidia filters have been around for long while with the sim. Worth mucking about with if you’ve never delved into them before.
They are cool, I just hate that I need to download Geforce bloatware to get them. Why they aren’t included in the cpanel, I’ll never know…
Been using them since alpha… sure hope MSFS 2024 has better in-game graphics settings, including HDR calibration (real HDR calibration).
I have messed with them quite a bit and effects are quite interesting (RTX 2070 Super) … my ASUS VP32UQ (4k monitor) settings provide me with almost as good visual effects, though it seems …
Reshade.me is a far more more granular tool.
And you can run it with a debloated nVida driver.
The two downsides are:
- It’s not easy to install into FS2020. But it can be done.
- I like GeForce HDR screen captures. I’m still searching for a better option.
Is this really necessary after the color calculation corrections they did in SU14? I don’t see any benefit. Colors are quite good now, close to real life. Most of the filter settings I see people recommend are over saturated and not realistic at all.
Of course, the screen you use matters a lot. If your screen is not very good at replicating colors, you might need to bump some up. I see a massive difference between my main screen which is an OLED and a cheapish office level IPS I have on the side.
Has anyone tried filters for fs 2024? I’m on the new 566.14 and have none of the normal filters available.
It does not work anymore. If I acitvate the Filter with SU1 and actuall driver MSFS does not load up after hitting Fly now button.
If I deactivate the filters, everything is fine.
Works fine here, MS2024.
I have a separate filter for day and night.
Lights too bloomy at night, imho.
Much more natural and crisp, at least on my monitor 5120x1440 (HDR).
Crashes my 2024 sim at random times. Never crashes with out it
Wish it didn’t as it makes the sim look better and less vibrant
Rex Atmos works great with 2020. They are working on porting it over to 2024 now
