Tested with Developer mode on and off - Every setting is default

Brief description of the issue:
Having problems with low fps when looking at a dircetion or point ingame. As you can see at the pictures, the GPU and RDRTREAD are having a “stall”
This is random and might happen if you for example look at the direction north, when turning to a nother direction, everything works fine.

‘WHEN Disabling NVIDIA FXAA MODE IN NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL:’

Gained about 10 to 15 fps

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

I get extremely low fps when looking at a location or “heading” in the sim.
When I for example look heading 08 I get low fps - from 40 fps to around 20.
After doing some tests the FXAA mode in the NVIDIA control panel gives the low fps so disabling this is a temporary solution. Having FXAA mode disabled gives the sim a bad look, and this is only a temporary solution, hope some sees this and might find a better solution.

After a research I found out that some others also had this problem after patch 5, and yet a half a year later, they havent fix it.

(THE INGAME anti aliasing turned off does not make any change)

TESTS:

  • Anti aliasing turned off in game (no change)
  • Anti aliasing turn off (FXAA) in Nvidia control panel (temporary solution)
  • Remove all add-ons (no change)
  • RE-INSRALL SIM (no change)
  • Going back DRIVER versions (no change- even though the stutters appeared in the latest driver of NVIDIA 466.27)
  • Different airports and aircraft (no change)

With FXAA, I have a bad quality antiliasing and a drop of performance (Nividia RTX3) but when I use TAA it’s clearly better for me.

Thank you for this post it has resolved my poor performance issues that have recently occured. Turned of FXAA in Nvidia control panel now all good :+1:

Just curious, why would anyone use anything other than TAA? I heard many times to stay well away from other modes of antialiasing.

I use TAA in MSFS, but FXAA gave problems (NVIDIA Contol panel)

…there should be no other option available in fs menu other than TAA
