I hope we get a bit of improvement in MSFS2024.

But I do think we have to wait for Asobo until they provide better support for the Nvidia DLSS 4.0 overlay.

they don’t mention the msfs crashes from the previous driver

Exactly, DLSS4 isn’t fully compatible yet - and no, Asobo can’t simply swap the files just like that.

edit
I completely forgot to mention something important - I found out about the new driver from @DrewmorKuZy
Thanks for info mate.

When using the 572.42 driver with MSFS2020 i get a lot of visible disturbance on my monitors while loading the sim.
With 566.36 version driver and the latest DLSS 4.0 dll files i get the same performance, but no disturbance.

Do we need to run inspector again and force the DLSS 4 changes?

edit - yes you do :slightly_smiling_face:

anyone tested it in VR ?

Total disaster…

Like the previous driver, totally unusable in VR.
A lot of stutters, freezes and above all…an inversion of the left-right axis in the middle of the flight…

I finally roll back to 566.36, the last usable driver for me.

Oh, I forgot… constant changing cockpit position.

I could have thought that my VR headset had a problem but the roll back gave me a normal flight.

can t belive it . . shame

What GPU are you using?
Win 11 or 10?
What headset?

RTX 4090
Win 11

I’ve been flying for about 50 minutes now and haven’t encountered any issues - MSFS 2024_beta.

Same, I’ve been smooth sailing with these for a couple of hours now on MSFS 2020. No Nvidia app installed.

I haven’t had any problems with the previous driver 572.16, with dlss4 properly enabled, and dlss/balanced with my QPro/rtx4090 using a link cable (with 900mbps dynamic bitrate).

For me, I’ve never got better PCVR results with msfs2020 (msfs2024 uninstalled for now). Unless I see any reason to update to 572.42, I think I’ll just stick with 572.16 for now.

As per usual, if you’re using ReShade, be sure to uninstall the Nvidia App or risk crashes.

Please specify in your reports if you’re using VR or not because it seems like the issues with the latest driver (freezings, audio crackling) were being experienced in particular by VR users and only with FS2024.

Just did a 1h flight in VR with the new Nvidia driver (and latest Win11 update) and I had no problem whatsoever…

I have just had to revert back to Jan 30th driver. The new one killed my framerates. Very juddery below 2000ft when it was previously smooth, and when turning my head in the cockpit, the same.
Apart from the new driver, nothing else has changed.

RTX4080.

Anyone else had issues?

Can confirm that with this driver/Nvidia App, and MSFS 2020, it still crashes on startup in DX11 mode.

This needs to be fixed by someone (Nvidia or Asobo?)
