NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 517.48 Discussion

In principle,

some cards are already OC from factory, it can’t be simply only your intervention… Also you don’t know about that in time you buy it, this is fight on market. Every one want have boosted good card.

I have an Asus RTX 3050 ROG Strix 8GB OC graphics card, with DLSS on the sim won’t run it comes up with some sort of error. I have turned DLSS off and the game runs but slow mouse interaction like clicking on a button on the game interface takes a few seconds to respond I also cannot navigate around in the cockpit with the mouse either. I went to revert back to the previous driver but the button to do so in the device manager graphic adapter is blanked out. I shall investigate further. I’m a fairly experienced computer user having a PC for over 20 years.

In theory, the owner of said card is probably better placed to know what they have than you making random guesses with zero knowledge. Especially given your “hardware bug” conspiracy theories further upthread. If I need your help, I will ask.

i have same problem :face_exhaling: how can i clean the regisry? thank u

I am VERY impressed with DX12 thus far. Wow. What an improvement…

Same here.

dlss will not give us profit in the all situations, because good enough gpu in most situations don’t use maximum. but some time complex place with water around and overcast weather dlss will help.

Not had a single CTD in ages until installing new game ready driver it happened twice, also had performance issues so gone back to the studio driver now and it’s running great again.

Have installed the new Nvidea driver, however, the landing lights flicker in the dark and the water quality is at low altitude bad.
DLSS on quality, DX 11 or 12 does not matter.

What can I do?
(Except to switch to TAA.)

Where I can find this version?

I play 2K TAA - DX12 seems to be definitely playable now, a big improvement. I get 5-10% less FPS, but DX12 seems to be much smoother, most stutters are gone. I have vsync on and FPS limit on 33% (from 165Hz) - with DX11 I get 40-50 FPS on airports and stable 55 in the air. With DX12 it is more like 38-47 and 51 in the air. I will sacrifice a few FPS for no stutters and leave DX12 to see how it performs in a longer run.

What type of bloat has been removed, sorry for being a little suspicious, but it’s a driver, what would be in it that is unnecessary, and would removing superfluous stuff make it work better?

Thank you for this.

I will do this moving forward

Just did a clean install to the latest Game Ready Driver.

Booted up the game and straight away I have fps of 30, whereas it is normally 60. Even with multiplayer turned off.

Rebooted not only game but computer. Launched game again. FPS of 14. What the ….!

I’ve made no other changes apart from the new driver. I have no idea what is going on.

The clean versions was always linked in the old Nvidia-driver thread:

It´s not the actual driver that has things removed. It’s the other things you normaly get with the download, like GeForce Experience.

But I have about 30 games and sims for which I use different Nvidia settings, that’s the problem

Dlss is totaly useless. Got some blurry textures in classcockpits, except 737 from PMDG.

My FPS halfed with new driver I found that when I use FPS limit it was running at about half my FPS limit with new driver only way I could get my proper FPS was not running any FPS limiter which meant full FPS of 70-80 instead of my usual limited 60 cap

Gone back to studio as had CTDs for first time in ages aswell no changes made except driver change.
