Holy fixes Batman!

These drivers are becoming bigger and more impactful than the OS installation at this rate!

  • Stability issues when using Windows 11 24H2 [5160948]
  • General system stability issues [4921925]

Sounds like a must-install … If these kind of fixes are actally fixed. Perhaps not all MS to blame around 24H2 problems? Oh boy…

24H2 relies a lot more on MPO, and drivers from the three major GPU vendors have had shoddy MPO support for years. Disabling it has been a workaround for many issues in the past, but it is not viable in 24H2 anymore. It is likely that all parties are at fault here.

Yes and no

With DX11 selected in MSFS 2020, using latest Nvidia driver and Nvidia app, a CTD will occur.

Until Nvidia fixes the application and Asobo MSFS 2020/2024, please check what happens if you select DX12 instead of DX11 by manually editing cfg file.

To do this, you need to edit usercfg.opt file and modify the line
PreferD3D12 0

Change the number 0 to 1

and save the changes.

OR

If you need Nvidia app, make sure to select DX12 instead of DX11 in Nvidia app and the profile for MSFS 2020.
// optimize MSFS 2020

OR

If Nvidia app installed go to:
c:\ProgramData\NVIDIA
delete folder named NGX

The DLSS Override and some additional RTX options, that were available with the previous driver under Program Settings > Driver Settings are no longer there for me with this driver.

I had the same. Closing and reopening the Nvidia app and selecting between different games in the graphics setting brought those options back.

Thanks, I’ll try that. :+1:

Update: can confirm, I have those settings available again and the FG settings reverted, so had to change them back after the driver update.

Im happy with 566.36, getting consistent 50fps NO Frame gen, NO DLSS, YES TAA, Ultra wide monitor, Fenix a320, High/Ultra settings. RTX4070ti Super. Still get sound stutters from time to time, but well, is getting better.

576.02 is working great on my end.

I just downloaded this driver. Not had time to try it yet, and this is probbaly not the right thread to ask, but can someone tell me why “texture super-sampling” is not showing as an in sim graphics option nowadays in FS2024 , but the suggestion by NVidia App has it listed and suggested as 8x8?

Hi, I don’t think it should be a problem - I have the same thing for Anisotropic filtering; it does not show in the Nvidia app, even though I have set it to 16x in the Nvidia control panel for MSFS. The software doesn’t seem to read any values that it doesn’t offer within the Nvidia App, so you probably have overwritten it as well. Check the Nvidia control panel - manage 3D settings > program settings, what do you have set there?

It’s not listed in NVCP either.

It’s called Antialiasing - Transparency; using a german system here but scroll up a bit, it’s called different in the Nvidia app.

This driver seems smooth and working well for me 5950/3090/64GB/Windows 24H2/FS2024 SU2 beta.

Got it thank you.

Drivers are rock solid so far, can confirm they fix the Nvidia Frame Gen + G-Sync issue with high refresh rate monitors. I can now run at 240Hz again without any crashes or issues on SU2 beta.

Performance using DLSS overrides and latest frame gen model presets seems slightly improved as well.

Getting 110-130 FPS with Nvidia Frame Gen enabled, running 4K with the Ultra preset, air traffic disabled, at FlyTampa LGAV with the Fenix.

Need to do some further flying for long-term stability so dare I speak to soon, but finally seems like Nvidia got these right.

Driver seems to be Ok performance wise on my 2080ti but unfortunately for me it’s stopped the Nvidia Filters from working.
I can’t play this sim without the filters as the cockpit is way too dark to see any of the buttons and the outside view is very over exposed. The new exposure slider in the sim doesn’t help with this as turning it down to make the outside view acceptable makes the cockpit almost totally black for me.

Got 2 ctd within the first 2 minutes after loading in. Newest SU2.
Rolled back and now still ctd’ing with nvidia dlls.
Gonna try DDU and this version again soon.
