If you are using the Nvidia App, setting to preset K in the app will give you V:310.2.1. That’s what I use with DLAA and no FG.
Yeah after 537.58 everything changed, i don’t understand what is happening either. VRR began to not work unless i choose my LG C1 as main monitor and 2nd monitor placed on the left side. Fps stucks at 60 sometimes as you said, disabling Vsync and reflex fixes it sometimes, it is so random. I am back to 566.14 so my LG Vrr/gsync works normal again. I got black screens with 576.40 i had to go back to 566.14, couldn’t test new driver fully. They are too busy with 5000 series they forgot 4000 3000 series sadly. As long as it is stable for you that’s all matters, i wouldn’t change anything, have a great day.
have the same issue with these drivers and a 4090.
That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing.
My main monitor is already set as primary, I didn’t have to select it.
And I was getting those weird SU2 jitters until I figured out a fix for my setup.
I read your other posts and I agree, I don’t know what changed at Nvidia, I suspect the focus on the 50 series, but the drivers have been getting worse over the last two months.
576.40 works fine for me now I have fixed the issue but locking my screens to 60hz is not the solution long-term.
I contacted NVidia and was told that they are aware of the issue. They should have a fix in the next update.
I updated to this driver and installed SU2. In just a hour or so of VR play I have had two occasions where on headset and on both monitors the display signals just disappeared! Fast running fans but no visble desktop…the only option was to reboot. No errors in windows events except my power button shutdown. Rtx3070 Quest 3 5800x3d
You gotta love this variability…
I’ve done a bunch of post-SU2 (2D) flights using 572.70.
- 3090 Ti, Low Latency OFF, vSync OFF, DLSS 4 Quality, no nVidia APP (I use nVidia Profile Inspector) and they’ve all been smooth as silk.
I’m not really motivated to update this driver, even though Microsobo recommends it.
Gosh dang it!
I am running the same hardware as you do. After a repair of the sim files (steam) and a bit playing with dlss files (now on 310.2.1) the sim is running smooth now.
Before the tweaking I had a huge drop in fps and 1% low. Also i noticed the GPU started to run at just 40% when getting at cruise alt. But as mentioned all good now
Well i updated my rtx5080 drivers to the 576.40 then updated msfs2024 to su2.
Performance was worse than the su2 beta.
Cant use frame gen at all in su2 release had to go back to 576.15 driver for it to work.
Nvidia drivers use to be stable but now they’re not.
Regarding MSFS2024 SU2 release;
Any settings in msfs2024 seem to go back to default when closing/rebooting pc.
Ie rolling cache location changed to d: drive but then it reverts back to default location in c: drive.
Graphics settings changed but then reverts back to defaults again on restart/reboot.
This is seriously embarrassing for you as a company. Youve sold & released a product thats not fit for purpose. We are customers who have paid money & we get this?
This Nvidia driver update (576.40) is the first one I’ve ever had a problem with.
Windows 11
FS2020
DX12
VR (Pimax Crystal Light)
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
RTX 4090
64GB RAM
After ~30 min. I got the “Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit” popup (accompanied by everything freezing in VR).
Happened 3x in a row.
I reverted back to 576.28 and all was well again.
Hi, i can not set the nvidia filter, i did not see filters, is that problem known issue ? Or has anybody a solution ? Thanks
Same here nothing works above 572.83 without FS2024 freeze 5-20 min in game. AMD 9900x3d Gigabyte 5080 water force.572.83 is fine on 16 hours flights… 576.x is garbage driver!

Nvidia filters are bugged in 576.40 driver, we can only see 2 filters. If you want to use filters revert to 572.83 or wait for the next one.
Hey @RobiRo137. Filter are still not working with FS24. It is frustrating. I reverted to driver version 572.83 (dated 3/18/25) which was the last version with functioning filters. Hopefully NVIDIA can get this sorted with their next release.
Im believing now these nvidia drivers are totally borked. Up until december the sim was running excellent. Now? Since su2 ive lowered the settings, ive lowered them again. Ive reduced my resolution down on my quest 3. And the longitude at eham was just an absolute mess. The tearing and stutters were horrid. I tried again at eham with the 404 and it was fine. The only change since december are the drivers and sim. Pathetic
I have an RTX4090 and before Sim Update 2 I was running everything on ULTRA with a smooth 50-60fps experience with no issues even at hubs like EGLL with the A350. Post Sim Update 2 and downloading the latest Nvidia driver I have had an awful simming experience. Anywhere below 3,000ft to ground level I am getting terrible stutters and frame rate. Last two flights into Gatwick and Dusseldorf particularly I am getting somewhere in the range of 18-28fps.
I have cleared all my Caches and also lowered settings considerably as recommended by the NVIDIA app with little to no change. I am convinced Sim Update 2 or the latest driver has broken the Sims performance. Extremely disappointing.
I’m in the same boat. I’m not sure if its the sim or just the sim in combination with NVIDIA Drivers, which have been coping a lot of criticism pretty much since the 5000 series rolled out.
It’s the sim. The last few betas of SU2 introduced big stutters near to the ground.
It’s a huge regression, that along with many other regressions were reported during beta testing, but as usual completely ignored by Asobo.
Since SU5, when they bit off more than they could chew my trying to make the sim run on two platforms, the updates have always been 1 step forward and two steps back.
