So weird, I flew the 772 in 24 on 576.40 just yesterday with nothing like that.
No Iām using 310.2.1 dlss & fg via swapper. Beware that for some reason this driver switched my card in DLSS profile E instead of K, so I had to force profile K via Inspector.
Hmmm.
Iāve just got my 4090 back from repair (yup, it melted itself to death)ā¦i was lucky enough to get a 9070xt as a stop gap⦠except⦠in flight sim⦠the 9070xt seems to give way smoother performance⦠and with itās driver level frame gen (afmf 2.1), i donāt think flight sim has ever seemed smootherā¦
Now Iāve switched back to the 4090, with this new driver installed⦠Iām getting a lot more microstuttering.
Tried taa vs dlss, tried with and without frame gen. Tried with and without overrides, and with/ without gsync enabledā¦
Not sure what the answer is⦠pretty disappointing, as i obviously get a lot more raw performance, and every other game the 4090 is very strongā¦
This is the 3rd version in a row that gives me this, also in safe mode:
How many more times do i need to downgrade to 572.83? What a mess.
Ah⦠might have just solved it⦠possibly a sync issue⦠switching the display from 240hz mode to 120hz mode⦠everything is much smoother nowā¦
Weird how it was still bad even with gsync turned off though⦠but with gsync back on but the 120hz mode, seems fine againā¦
To be honest, in other games, 120fps (well, normality 116fps because of gsync+vsync+low latency to ultra [yes, vync and low latency off for flight sim though]) is plenty though⦠so i guess this is the way
I got two of them and downgraded to 572.83 (approved by ASUS, whose 5080 I bought) and no problems since. I tested the new DLSS with this driver and it was not better than the AMD one.
That being said, am in love with the 5080⦠running in 4k full highest settings⦠but only using 60% capacity for GPU and VRAM. I still get a few stutters on landings but it is MSFS 2024 not the card or drivers.
Yep, 572.83 is the latest version that works for my 3070Ti.
All good here with a 4070 Super. Didnāt notice improvements compared to the previous version. But 576.40 seems just as stable. Iām using FSR3 with TAA.
Here is a palliative solution that worked for me. https://youtu.be/J3fofOGVw5g
Since my post ASUS support official replied to my question and this is exactly what they said⦠in their hands last stable driver and what they recommend to stop complaints. They said do not upgrade.
Same
Lots for stutter in 2024 using a 5090 for me. Both 2D and VR. I had to roll back
There is an undocumented change on this driver can be very useful for who are using multi monitors.
In case it is deleted all backed up here
I have the same problem with the 576.40 driver, within 10 minutes of takeoff I get the same error message and MSFS24 freezes ⦠happened 3x in a row, rolled back to 576.28 and all has been good again ⦠4070TiS + i7-14700
Hi everyone!
To avoid freezing, I deleted the rolling cache (it reforms after 2 launches of the app) and things are better so farā¦
Well, good to know, then Iāll stick with 576.28. Itās reliable for me at the moment.
Thank you! I will certainly try this if problem persists in upcoming driver-updates.
Donāt forget to replace the dlss file in flightsim>contents.
No problems with 576.40 for me. I did clear all caches after install. Checked performance with CapFrameX. Compared results to exact flight the previous day on 576.28. No stuttering and actually picked up a few FPS (possibly Asobo streaming). Running OG Crystal, 4070tis, i9 11900K, 32GB.
When trying to use VR with Pimax Crystal Light the screen goes black. Rolled back to previous driver and all is good.
