I’ve done one flight in msfs 2024 SU2 and I did not notice anything special. RTX4090.

Are the Nvidia filters finally working again with this driver?

Which one of us is going to bite the bullet and try ? :slightly_smiling_face:

Just installed it, going to check now.

Still nothing, only the 2 RTX filters.

With that question settled, one flight in 2024 without issue for 576.88 on a 5070Ti.

have a 5080 and will hold off, thanks. No getting and CTD in SU2 but yes in SU3 Beta.

2 flights. One crash after 4 hours and one just as I was loading. Not looking good. Try once more before rolling back again

Why are they struggling so much ?

Su2

Hi,

Had CTD with 576.88 right after starting MSFS 2020.

Reverted back to 567.80.

Then tried 576.88 again, but before installing it, I…

…Cleaned the old 576.80 completely using DDU.

Reinstalled 576.88 and since then all is well.
Seems to work fine in MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 and DCS.

Rtx 5080, r9 7950x3D, 64 Gb RAM, Pimax Crystal Light

576.88 is really problematic even though there are workarounds. Stable driver suggestions are here.

Some info about upcoming new branch drivers

Good news for 4000 series GPUs and Smooth Motion.

If you wanna check discussions see here.

Also there are hints that they will probably enable GSP Firmware with upcoming new branch drivers for windows, you can see discussion here, i do not recommend enabling it for now unless you have full system backups and recovery options ready, it is extremely buggy.
You can use this command to check GSP Firmware activated or not
nvidia-smi -q | findstr GSP

Edit:

Simon Macer managed to make Smooth Motion work on 576.88 driver with RTX 4090!

He managed to make Smooth Motion work on 576.88 driver with 4090! Here
Here is the Guide

Simon Macer is the Dev of AnWave (NVIDIA Power Management, NVIDIA DLSS Global Override Mode and more) .. This may force Nvidia team to release this feature early without waiting 25H2/590branch if it gets enough attention on big tech news sites/influencers…

Edit2: Macer released the tool to activate Smooth Motion on 576.88 for 4000 series gpus. (Use nvidia profile inspector to activate smooth motion)(drivers should work > 572.16 and above which uses nvpresent64.dll)

Nvidia 576.28 is still working best for me. Using DDU in safe mode beforehand, then clean custom install without nvida app (uninstalled beforehand), then nvidia CP to finetune settings, then Nvidia Profile Inspector (latest guu version) to force 3x Global dslll overrides and presets to = latest versions (preset K right now). You can verify this with regedit but you should see a big improvement in distance clarity, together with much fewer artifacts.

This is with an i913900k/rtx4090 in VR with A QPro using a Link cable at 900mbps max dynamic bitrate.

MSFS 2020 has never looked beter and 2024 is lookig better all the time!

Am I to read this as you tried 576.88 and reverted back to 576.28, and if so what about OP driver informed your decision to revert?

Ya, I always try latest using DDU in safe mode beforehand. So far, everything above 576.28 causes a few more stutters in VR, for me anyway. In any case, it’s up to you to decide what works best for you imho.

Hello, does anyone know why the Nvidia filters still don’t work in the new driver? Does Nvidia even know this? It’s really annoying.

Does NVIDIA have a users forum? If they do, perhaps an answer can be found there?
