Early reports about new v595.71 driver on the NVIDIA forum that voltage is still capped at 0.9x V on 50xx cards, restricting boost clock speed. This was an issue with the previous 595.59 driver that got pulled.

I installed the version. So far, very fluid. Nothing to disregard.

There needs to be a clarification here.
The issue does not affect all hardware configurations. NVIDIA staff and I are not able to reproduce any voltage cap on 50xx cards with the 595.71 driver.
I am not observing a 0.9x V limit or any abnormal boost clock restriction on my setup (Gigabyte RTX 5090 Gaming OC).
If someone is genuinely experiencing a voltage cap, they should report it directly to NVIDIA so it can be properly investigated.
When submitting an ticket, include the forced manual Windows crash dump file as described in the FAQ.

Anyone with the dlss frame gen causing main thread to go to 50ms updated to this ? If so any good news or still the same as mines now returned 50ms and bad stuttering on dlss frame gen. Fantastic
Works great on my end using an RTX 4090.
My 5080 can reach 3200 MHz and beyond, the new driver 595.71 limits the frequency to 2955 MHz, reverted back to 591.86, I absolutely do not recommend updating
Is it recommended to use DDU after every time updating Nvidia drivers?

Media outlets TechPowerUp.com, VideoCardz.com, Guru3D.com and WCCFTech.com reporting this v595.71 driver restricts voltage / boost clock.
Are you saying that 3200 MHz is it’s built-in speed or what you overclock it to?

OK. Thanks. So are you suggesting that Nvidia maybe blocking overclocking?
Maybe I should clarify. You think it might be a policy decision rather than an error?
It depends.
Personally, I prefer minimizing any leftovers from the previous driver that could potentially affect the new one. That’s why I use DDU to uninstall the old driver before installing the new one.

I think it’s intentional on NVIDIA’s part to preserve 5000series GPUs as long as possible, at least until 2028 when maybe we can get new GPUs.
