Oculus quest 2 configuration improving image

This are the parameters that works for me with my nvidea 2080ti
pixel overrride 1.5
encode res width 3920
encode bitrate 500
(2080TI)
90 hz
Resolution 4128x2176

Hope it helps

@ IcedLeaf1377528,
Thanks for an example for us to try - a couple questions

  1. What is your CPU and speed (Ghz), your Video card (2080TI) - which driver version, and I assume you have a Q2 from the title of the thread
  2. I assume you are using the Link cable so you can use the Oculus Debug Tool
  3. Where is your resolution (4128x2176) measured
  4. What is the resultant FPS with a TBM at a medium complexity airport
  5. What MSFS2020 Render Scale, AA, Terrain LOD, and Object LOD,
  6. How did you set ASW in ODT
  7. Any special Nvidia Control Panel settings
NOTE: I thought we were supposed to limit ourselves to res width of 2784

I think if all of us Quest2 users could provide all the above info, we could start to get a “best settings” configuration even though the “acceptable clarity and FPS” is subjective. I use the TBM to measure cockpit clarity as I look at the primary and nav displays.

ALSO: If you are also trying out wireless with SteamVR (obviously no Oculus Debug Info then ) as I am, please add the following:

  1. Virtual Desktop parameters
  2. If you have both, are you getting nearly identical clarity and FPS. Unfortunately, there is no ASW / Reprojection currently with wireless
