Havnt seen this issue anywhere so I thought I would see if anyone else was experiencing it. Vr worked absolutely fine up until a few months ago. Since then as soon as I load into a flight the game constantly tabs in and out and in the headset switches between the oculus home and the game until it crashes to desktop a few minutes later. This only happens in vr and only with this game. Ive tried all the grades, downgrades, uninstalls, reinstalls and I am just lost with what I should do at this point!!
I have the same problem without alternatives working such as lowering settings. I have a fairly good PC, a Ryzen 7, 32gb ram and an RX3070. Using a Quest 2.
I have only tried VR in the last week so VR never has worked. Problem is identical to yours.
Glad it isnt just me! Ive seen some other posts on here talking about hitting “V” and making sure your vfr map is closed before entering vr mode. Going to try it when I get home and see if it works
Have heard that too. Didn’t help. Even turned off the Steam GPS counter
Asked for suggestions from a FB group . Seems no one had run into or suggestions like try Air Link. That did not work. As you were, glad not the only one. I have just about given up on VR option.
So The map didnt work for me but I looked at the toolbar at the top and it said my atc window was open when it really wasnt. So i opened and closed it and switched to vr mode and it worked! So go through and check that none of the tabs in the toolbar are white. If they are, click them and close them again!
OK will try that. Hhmm but don’t know that can check that until are into Fly and flicker starts. Once it starts hard to do anything.?
Maybe have to start desktop mode to do that , then switch to VR mode?
You can set a key binding to switch between desktop and pc mode. So enter the flight in desktop mode, check the stuff and then switch to vr mode with your key binding!
Well stopped the flickering but then got a fatal dash error plus THE VFR Screen was floating in the cockpit
Hmmm keep playing around with closing the vfr/ other windows. It seems to be the answer!
I sometimes get these related to link connection. Close everything down and start again. Working now. VR is Wow.
