[Official] Community Fly-In Friday: International Coffee Day

We will be hosting an Official Fly-in alongside a group of community members (you!) on Twitch. This is an open event, free to all who would like to fly along with us and available to pilots of all skill levels. The goal is to have a great time, explore new locations of the world, and make new friends. This event is open to pilots on both the PC and Xbox platforms.

FLIGHT DETAILS

October 1 is International Coffee Day! According to the International Coffee Organization, this day is “a celebration of the coffee sector’s diversity, quality and passion. It is an opportunity for coffee lovers to share their love of the beverage and support the millions of farmers whose livelihoods depend on the aromatic crop.”

For our Fly-In this week, we will mark the occasion with a flight over two coffee-producing countries in Central America: Guatemala and Honduras ! Both nations rank in the global top 10 for annual coffee production!

We will be starting at MGGT. Please load your aircraft 10 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the runway in preparation for departure.

AIRCRAFT

Recommended aircraft: Cirrus SR22, Beechcraft Bonanza, Diamond DA62, or any other aircraft of your choice that can maintain a cruise speed of about 140 knots or greater.

MULTIPLAYER SETTINGS

Please adhere to the following settings so you can see everyone / be seen by everyone.

Variable	Setting

Multiplayer	All Players
Live traffic	As preferred
Weather	Few Clouds
Time of Day	Daytime

It is advised in this flight to turn off both aircraft collisions and terrain collisions. If you do crash, you can use “slew” mode to join the pack. If the pack will be too scattered before the first stop, we will use slew on a defined point to regroup.

COMMUNICATION

To communicate with others, a voice channel on the "Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord” at https://discord.gg/msfs will be available to join.

Hello @Farvabinks,

There are no “Xbox servers”. All MSFS pilots – regardless if they are playing on PC, Xbox, or Xbox Cloud Gaming – share the same common multiplayer environment and can fly together.

If like me you prefer to fly a region/country appropriate aircraft, PC users can pickup the freeware Cessna T-37B Tweet from flightsim.to.

According to the Wikipedia the Guatemalan Air Force use the attack variant of this aircraft.
