We will be hosting an Official Fly-in alongside a group of community members (you!) on Twitch. This is an open event, free to all who would like to fly along with us and available to pilots of all skill levels. The goal is to have a great time, explore new locations of the world, and make new friends. This event is open to pilots on both the PC and Xbox platforms.

FLIGHT DETAILS
August 12 is World Elephant Day! 
This event, celebrated annually since 2012, “was launched to bring attention to the urgent plight of Asian and African elephants. The elephant is loved, revered and respected by people and cultures around the world, yet we balance on the brink of seeing the last of this magnificent creature.”
For our Fly-In this week, we’ll be going on an elephant safari in Ethiopia! 
Our route will take us past a few different locations where herds of these amazing animals can be seen in Microsoft Flight Simulator while also enjoying the beautiful scenery of this East African nation. If we look carefully, we may also spot some giraffes 
along the route!

We will be starting at HAGN. Please load your aircraft 10 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the runway in preparation for departure.
AIRCRAFT
Recommended aircraft: for the safari theme of this flight, we are suggesting a bush plane like a CubCrafters X or NX Cub or DHC-2 Beaver. If you’d rather fly something else, any plane of your choice with a cruise speed of 120 knots will be sufficient to keep up with the group.

It is advised in this flight to turn off both aircraft collisions and terrain collisions. If you do crash, you can use “slew” mode to join the pack. If the pack will be too scattered before the first stop, we will use slew on a defined point to regroup.

To communicate with others, a voice channel on the "Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord” at https://discord.gg/msfs will be available to join.
