The Feedback Snapshot rework is very much appreciated! It is great to see that newer trending issues no longer have to reach an obscene amount of votes so they can make the list and we can see their status. Also I think it’s a good idea to do away with the dates, no need for that pressure.
However it is somewhat concerning that the coastline glitch has been changed to “Ongoing (World Updates)”. If anything, the more detailed mesh that comes with each World Update makes this artifact, as well as the morphing, even more noticeable. I hope that this is revisited.
One of the most informative Development Blogs, almost answered all the questions that I had. Thanks
Seems like SU9 is mostly fixing regression issues introduced in SU8? Am I missing something…
Sim Update 9 includes more than 800 bug fixes. You can find the release notes of the beta build in here for more detail on what the update will bring.

Fsoares liveries interesting
Thank you, I much prefer the new 3 layer approach.
Very excited for DLSS (I have a 4K monitor), so looking forward to that.
Also pleased to see memory allocation improvements when in DX12. I have an 8GB VRAM buffer (as I think do most people). Running DX12 has a higher VRAM usage which often causes stutters.
Looking forward to SU10!
It seems they are really listening harder than they ever have, and are truly trying to focus on the bugs. There has been some major issues with the SU9 testing, but they jumped on the biggest problems quickly.
People need to remember, aviation is one of the most complex things in our lives, next to space and maybe deep underwater exploration. If they keep progressing, we should all be happy. The other sims don’t have things perfect either.
Edited:
Most complex things in our lives was a little bit of an overstatement, I know there are a lot more, but I’m sure you get the point : )
I get very low performance using DX12 with my GTX1080 in 4k, what are you using? Maybe is a ray tracing issue.
I have a 2070 Super, VRAM in DX12 is higher which cause stutters when new objects have to load. I am hopeful though they should be able to reduce the VRAM usage through optimization.
Any idea of what month sim update 10 is released? It isn’t on the roadmap screen?
They said late July in the last Q&A.
Very quick release of the Boeing 247D in the marketplace - within a week or so of the initial release. Maybe they are getting a bit more speedy with the marketplace updates.
Doesn’t seem to be any real focus on VR related issues!
What the…? Have they just gotten completely rid of the VR backlog items now? Seriously?
247 for Xbox? crickets
Really like the top votes last 3 months. Great change in dev-update!
It’s not coming to xbox until ms makes wasm work on xbox (so not anytime soon).
VR was forgotten last snapshot too, and I pointed it out also.
Sim Update 9 includes more than 800 bug fixes.
Why did they only list 121 of them in the release notes? (not including the SDK)
However it is somewhat concerning that the coastline glitch has been changed to “Ongoing (World Updates)”.
Why is this even an issue when it wasn’t as prevalent/noticeable in earlier versions of the sim?
I get very low performance using DX12 . . . Maybe is a ray tracing issue.
I’m not sure what you mean. As far as I’m aware, there is no real ray tracing support currently in the sim, other than ray marched reflections (which also works in DX11, and is related to the problem above).
I have a 2070 Super, VRAM in DX12 is higher which cause stutters when new objects have to load.
Are you sure it’s VRAM usage related? More VRAM usage is usually better, as long as it’s not full. I think it’s a general I/O and memory management issue.

Yes, a welcome addition indeed.
