They literally acknowledged it in the 9th post of this thread.
They did.
Bit like the rule of three in math. âSlightly delayedâ is to X as âin the coming daysâ ist to three month.
How about fixing the simulator first before adding additional content
Exactly. But Iâm still here every week and hopingâŠ
Thanks to a chat with @tamalien, we updated the text for clarification:
If you have MSFS content installed completely on a custom path, you will have a much lower chance that a full re-install will be necessary when the update is officially released. However, if your sim content is installed in the default path selected by the in game content manager, you may have to reinstall the whole sim when moving from the test build to the public build. We recommend that those who wish to test with us ensure your sim content is located in a custom path before joining the flight to avoid full reinstallations in the future (Details on how to do this can be found here) . The best set up would be for your store app to live on the default C: drive and sim content on a custom drive.
Last I saw, the possibility of adding force feedback is under investigation. I donât suppose I can pry for some tidbit about this?
Devs confirmed the issue about abrupt weather transitions, thatâs nice, but I seriously hope they also noticed the issue of METAR data engulfing every single airport in the blanket of fog, when it shows visibility of either 10SM or 9999 (which IRL could mean unlimited). Itâs MVFR everywhere now.
The Force Feedback 2 joystick is one of the best things Microsoft ever made. It works perfectly in my gliding simulator Condor 2, and I believe there is a third party mod that is supposed to make it work with MSFS, although I have not tried that yet.
I really miss the realistic joystick loading when in MSFS, and I donât see why they canât implement it natively as it worked before and still works in other sims.
Aviara: âSo I honestly see no reason to revert the weather back to update 6 and put update 7 weather on the public beta branch (if itâs technically feasible).â
From a software development point of view, it is often complicated to remove just one
single fix, once it is part of the installed program, and may often lead to more issues due to the various interactions and changes inside the code that fix created. If very severe, it is easier to âfix the fixâ rather than try to remove it, or if totally broken pull entire update.
This is what youâre talking about: https://www.fsmissioneditor.com/product/xpforce/
ItâsâŠOK. Thereâs a lot that needs improved and it only seems to have worked on first run but not after, requiring you to reboot the PC every time you wan to use it. At least, that was my experience. Some of the forces were too strong and others non-existent. Iâve since gave up on it, preferring the centering of the joystick over the ridiculous force of the plane wanting to climb (I mean, I know thatâs natural IRL, but not this much).
Iâm hoping Microsoft can find a way to simply import and update the force feedback from past Flight Simulators into this one.
Yes I read that there were some issues with it and that is why I have not tried it and would like to see it natively implemented in MSFS. Itâs not as if they have to re-invent the wheel, the code is already in existence.
Great update, canât see whatâs in store for us in the next one. Thank you, Jayne.
Marketplace has updated.xbox now has access to the bad embraer but also a 4 pack of a320 liveries from bredok3d⊠And some racing theoretical plane.
Oh wow, they must have serious problems with half complex third party addons. Only junk and airports again. When was the last usable third party aircraft?
This week the major problem is Your bandwidth is too low, you have been switched to offline mode, than CTDâŠany FIXE???
I see marketplace was updated!
I found that only one airplane was added
I donât suppose this will be fixed then:
This would be very, very welcome.
Hi guys, I was just wondering if there was any way you could compress the update file size? Every time I log onto this game I have to download a mandatory 30+ GB update which takes hours and a lot of internet
Or maybe make the updates optional or have the game update in the background without the game needing to be launched?
