It shouldn’t be working because it’s not part of this hotfix.
I also got into a loop !!
Had to close MSFS, and restart it again .. then it proceeded, and finished the update ( OK ? I hope)
No issues for me here. Hotfix installed fine and night lighting works again as promised
Remember this isn’t a SU so I wasn’t expecting stuff like Bush Trips to be fixed. I’m happy with this overall, I can finally cruise in the dark again
I guess I should look on the bright side, or rather the dark side, since cruising in the dark prevents me from seeing the apocalyptic photogrammetry cities.

I’m getting the same on series x and immediately after installing hot fix and although I was getting them anyway ironically the last few days they had stopped

Online services are unreachable warning is appearing for me again while trying to download the update.
I’m a little bit worried about that, last time I had this issue was in Update V, and I needed to reset my computer to solve it…

First time for me too. Trying launching msfs now for second time.
Second time it worked like a charm.
For those who don’t get the update in the MS Store, try to go on the MSFS page and wait… Just wait here for a few minutes, the update should start by itself.
On my side I got the store update but once in game, servers were struggling and it went offline on the update screen.
How do you explain this then if you say it should not work?
- Wind gusts have been reactivated but some additional UI work is still needed. No further updates on timing.
For me it sounds like the gusts are working but the ui still needs some work. For me the UI work but not the gusts and graph of gusts. No gusts or very limmited in live weather.

DIsappointed a few really obvious bugs haven’t been fixed, especially as it must be a quick, easy fix 'cos this stuff used to work:
Strange keys for commands:
Putting ATC Options into Customization menu on World Planner, the details disappear after a few seconds. And capitalise everything. But, if you go through this twice, then go back to the main menu, then go back to the World Map and setup ATC Options again, then the capitalisation stops. Everything still disappears first time, but still…
It still doesn’t remember previous departure airports and populate the dropdown.
All this is simple QOL stuff, which I cannot believe has escaped the notice of the devs. A little attention to detail goes a long way in customer satisfaction, at least it does where I work…

Oh they still haven’t fixed the StringID issue? That’s weird, I haven’t seen those in a while.
Servers are back for me.
Here’s my own experience of downloading the patch until getting it applied and additional testing made, through 4 contiguous posts (Night Lighting fixed) :
