I wonder if the mesh scenery from Taburet, would have improved that or not? it’s pretty close to real life ground textures, these pictures you shared with us. Even the refuge on top is represented, which is quite amazing

Flew over Cape Girardeau, Missouri on the Mississippi in a Long-EZ yesterday. Tried to match it in the sim. Not too bad:

Here’s a prettier real vs. sim shot. I just need some more dramatic shots from the air now.
Disclaimers: I had to cheat to try to get the sim to match the real shot by editing the white balance and exposure of the sim shot. Mainly the sim was way too purple and the ground was way too dark. I’m really looking forward to the new atmospheric model in FS24 with the more realistic scattering parameters.

Short final 20 KCHA - Chattanooga, TN
This was taken about 2 hours before that FedEx plane landed gear-up on the same runway! I went back today (more night shots to come) and the runway was in use! No damage, that I could tell…
