Not inspiring I know but this is described in the Sim as “Griston” Airfield when in actual fact it is the ex RAF Watton airfield, now completely defunct and totally farmland. The houses that you see positioned along the old runway are actually straw built pig pens . It was, for a while up to around 10 years ago, used as a Volunteer Gliding School for Air Cadets (611VGS) which is now operated out of the old RAF Swanton Morley.

How do I know? I’m an ex member of the East Anglian Air Force and now my daughter lives in one of the hew houses built on what was once the airfield technical site.
