Users like me of the Rx 400/500 series of cards that CAN support DirectX12 and they WORK with DX12 in msfs 2020 but the sim won’t even OPEN
GPUs from the 400 and 500 series do not meet the minimum requirements for MSFS 2024.
FYI, AMD 400 series graphics cards were released in 2016 and are based on the Polaris architecture.
AMD 5700 series, part of the Navi family, was released in 2019.
Yeah sadly they dont. still have xbox to fly in tho.
Moved out from the wish list since some graphics do not meet the minimum requirements for MSFS 2024 as commented by @TenPatrol.
So today I learned RX 580’s don’t support DirectX12. What’s the work around for us? Can I launch 2024 in Direct X 11 through config maybe?
It actually says I am on Direct X 12 so I don’t really understand what’s going on. Any help would be appreciated
so stuck with giganormous vram usage as before but no chances to switch?
There seems to be a way to force boot in dx11 but the sim prob wouldnt even open since min requirement is dx12
If you know more about forcing X11 I would be grateful, I do have DirectX12 but not X12_1
