Older FBW A320NX mod won't go away

I have downloaded the newer FBW A320 via FBW’s installer and deleted the older version. In content managed I keep getting the older one listed as uninstalled. Can I deleted that entirely so it doesn’t keep appearing?

To be sure, check your ..\packages\official\ folder if there is anything FBW related left. If so, remove it. The old marketplace version (once you installed it when it was on marketplace) stays in Content Manager (MSFS politics). But don’t install it again from there. Use our installer.

I tried and eliminated anything I could find in the official folder that had FBW related to it. Went further into simobjects and removed a fbw reference there. However, the uninstalled reminder remains in the content folder.

Look under apdata/local and see if you have an FBW folder in there as well. Also check apdata/remote.

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough:
If you had it installed, once it was on marketplace, it will stay in Content Manager as uninstalled (marketplace version) until MS is removing it from there.

This has nothing to do with the version you install via our downloader. Even if you install the latest version via our installer the marketplace version will stay in Content Manager as uninstalled (as this was the marketplace version).

So just don’t mind the uninstalled message in Content Manager.

You HAVE to uninstall the old FBW using the Content Manager in the Sim. You can’t just “delete” the folder. That won’t work.

By using the Content Manager inside the sim to uninstall the old FBW, you’re saving the setting in your cloud account that you have the mod removed. So it doesn’t “auto-download” the mod again because it thinks that you have missing files.

Yep, it doesn’t automatically download it just keeps that annoying “download available” message in the content manager.

That doesn’t sound right. I don’t get any messages showing up saying “download available” in my configuration. Where exactly does the message appear? What screen? Where on the screen? Etc.

It shows up in the content manager.

As an actual message? Like a pop-up notification?

Or just a number in the “Updates Available” tab? That’s not very annoying since you have to actually go looking for it.

No it’s not a message. It just shows as an available download in the content manager. If you download it, the modification to the Asobo A 320 is downloaded then that download interferes with the newer FBW A320. It’s just a number in the “updates available”. It’s not a real problem, just an annoyance.

I dunno. “Annoyance” is something nagging at you whenever you log on. Having to do the miniscule work of “Looking at the Content Manger to see if anything has been updated” is not what I would consider an annoyance. My suggestion: think of it in terms of a “Unexpected Christmas present” and be happy when you see an available update.

Agree. I shouldn’t even be concerned. I will consider it a present. Thanks for your help.

BTW, this doesn’t make sense either. The Asobo A320 has no way to interfere with the FBW A320 since they are separate aircraft. Unless you are not using the FBW installer??

Just ignore it.. I have over 100 items under Non Installed and it doesn’t bother me since I don’t need them all installed anyway. I only install the contents that I use.
