Folks, I’ve offered to do some research of behalf of a US-based developer. Which US and Caribbean airports would you most like to see in the sim? Please put one for each. It can be a pre-existing airport as the dev has promised to do a better, more up-to-date version if the current offerings are old or otherwise poor.

Punta cana
Feels like Tropical Sim, Final Approach, and Airworthy Designs have gone somewhat dormant for 2024. I own a lot of their airports and would like to see native 2024 versions of TNCM, TNCA, MDPC (Punta Cana), and MBPV.
Can’t speak for the Caribbean , but I vote for KAPA. Denver Centennial is one of the busiest GA airports in the USA.
The midwest US is virtually devoid of sim airports. How about KCID (Eastern Iowa Airport)? Or Henry Rohlsen (TISX) in St. Croix? [no, not St. Croix, Indiana!]
Bozeman/Yellowstone would be wonderful. Similar to Provo or Jackson Hole, an airport in a beautiful landscape.
I want Stinson Municipal Airport (KSSF) in San Antonio for Xbox.
Thank you for the input so far. It’s got to be a fairly significant airport (no GA-specific fields), and preferably one that either isn’t yet available for the sim, or has only a poor/outdated rendition currently. Cheers.
KICT Wichita Dwight D.Eisenhower National Airport. With Textron Aviation and Bombardier Learjet facilities included. Also, the hangar for B-29 Doc. There has not been a good rendition of this airport available at all.
Maybe a good TJSJ. Significant airport. Current version is poor/outdated.
I’d recommend PHTO Hilo Intl in Hawaii. There are extremely high quality airfields spread across the island chain, to include Kona on the other side of this same island, but this international airport is a big gap as the last rendition is from a now defunct company in 2021, and it’s missing a ton of modern and expected features, as well as basic things like taxiway signs. Doing this one would really complete Hawaii.
I approached Northern Sky Studio about this and while they would love to do it (and have done many other superb quality airports in the islands), they are at a standstill as they can’t get enough info about it.
While the airport is indeed kind of sleepy, it gets airline, military, and general aviation flights daily, is sizable (well oversized for the amount of service it gets these days), and is in a destination with name recognition: the state of Hawaii.
A really well-done KGSO would be a god-send! It’s currently home to two cutting-edge plane makers - Honda and Boom. There’s also a major FedEx hub here.
KACY Atlantic City, New Jersey.
TJSJ San Juan, Puerto Rico.
KMSY New Orleans, Louisiana.
KFLL Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
KALB Albany, New York.
And any other medium-sized airport on the East Coast that Spirit, jetBlue or Frontier fly to.
MYNN Nassau in the Bahamas could use a nice airport upgrade. Fun short trips from KMIA etc.
Kmco with terminal C for marketplace would be nice. Montego bay might be a good one too.
Wow- the original post said What Carribean airports…" It sure changed from that!
HOWEVER- if we are talking about non-Carribean, a greatly needed quality airport is KPHX, Phoenix, AZ. One of the biggest cities in the USA and there isn’t a real addon to be found.
KMEM, TNCA and KMIA
KCMA deserves to be done properly – Someone did a version in fs2020, but it doesn’t work well in 2024.
As for Caribbean, I don’t fly there much and don’t have a suggestion.
I vote for Norman Manley International Airport, Jamaica …along with nearby POIs like Port Royal (including Fort Charles, the Victoria and Albert Battery, Giddy House, the Royal Dockyards, the Royal Naval Hospital, the JDF Coast Guard Station, St. Peter’s Anglican Church, the UWI Marine Laboratory, the various hotels, and the Port Royal Cruise Port), Fort Rocky, Royal Jamaica Yacht Club, Caribbean Maritime University, the Plumb Point Lighthouse, and Fort Augusta.
Would love to see better versions of KMIA, KMEM, KORD.
