I have just been playing about in MSFS 2024 and discovered that OpenXR Toolkit is not supported.
So I disabled it and VR did improve, I hope this helps.
See
PS I have a RTX4070 and getting ~ 18fps in VR without the toolkit
** UPDATE **
I have returned to good old OpenXR Toolkit, it sharpens the image and gives me a playable frame rate.
Might not be supported in 2024 but it works.

I feel like it’s adding value via FFR, CAS sharpening and being able to change reaolution easily. But Ive also heard it might be responsible for some crashes.
Weird, now in the program box to tick or untick selectively games, the only MSFS related says “FS2020 (FlightSimulator2024.exe)”, is it there the problem, what does it mean?, now works in FS20, not, yes, neither, only in FS24? haha
Do you stop playing games then they aren’t supported? I bet the answer is no.
The toolkit works perfectly fine in MSFS2020 and for my short time with 24 it worked as well, just because an app isn’t supported it DOESN’T mean you shouldn’t use it
