OpenXRToolkit Overlay details

Using the OpenXR Toolkit, I see two lines of info..

app CPU and app GPU

From what i have found in the manual, these are times taken to render a frame.

Am i correct that if the CPU is greater than the GPU then the data is CPU bound i.e. CPU is the bottleneck ??

Also, the best place to be is with both near equal?

Yes, but there’s an issue with the CPU number explained here by the OXRTK developer.

Thanks, a little over my head at present

How do you access the WMR overlay - I looked but could nit see it.

I’ve never looked to turn that on. My VR experience has been hit and miss, with sometimes frame rates acting very oddly, so I haven’t spent too much time with VR lately. Some of it may be related to motion reprojection not working well on current AMD drivers. So I’m kind of sitting on the sidelines seeing if things get better.

Yes at this point recommendation is to NOT use OpenXR Toolkit overlay until next version due to this bug.

WMR overlay us only for WMR devices (HP Reverb etc), not sure what you have. You need to install something called OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality from the MS store.
