Option to add your own menu music

as .wav .mp3 .aac perhaps?

I can’t listen to the music any longer.
I turned it off but on some screens it still plays.
Are there .wav files or .mp3 files somewhere I can replace?

All of the simulator’s audio files are encrypted, and while they can be extracted, I’m not sure if there’s any way to repackage them, and even then the client’s CRC check would probably fail which would prevent the simulator from starting up.

If there’s still some music playing even after you’ve turned its volume down, then it’s probably a bug. I would recommend filing a bug report to the official Zendesk.

Or just have it turned down and play what you want from your media player. I don’t think we need to pack side features in.

I’d like the option to get rid of music entirely! (I know you can turn it to zero volume, but not the same thing)
Thanks

Yes, it would be nice if we could add our own music track for the menu.

I’d be super happy if there just a bunch of choices installed by MS/A beyond just the two plus legacy that exists now. I like what’s there for new-age intro music it’s great I’d just like a bunch more and audio is dirt cheap as we all know by now. I often play music while flying and just use Groove Music it’s fine and can be run by the keyboard controls on this Win 10 keyboard.

Hi everyone. I have added a new thread for this in the upcoming developer Q&A session to add our own music to the menu screen and loading screens. Please upvote this thread so that it gets the attention of Asobo at the next develop Q&A session: Allow us to set our own custom music for the menu and loading screens?

Actually some planes have usb port in them. They can play music in real life. If flight simulator sound system can simulate how the music sounds inside a plane, which it easily can, that would be great. Not too necessary but would be nice.

In the Soundscape episode from the Feature Discovery series, they talked about how they recorded the acoustic space of the cockpit from each aircraft, which is already applied to cockpit sounds, like switches, and voices. So what you’re saying can definitely be done.

This was exactly what I thought of when I saw this topic. If we’re making it editable, might as well do it properly and have the option to play music in flight as well, as done quite often in longer GA flights.

Being able to change the music is a great idea! How about Richard Wagner, ‘Ride of the Valkyries’. That would surely get you in the mood for a great flight! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Small victory coming soon. My friend and I are making some landing challenges and we are able to add our own music. So we made some music to avoid any copyright stuff and should be done this weekend. Good news there is a way to turn it off if you don’t like it. Remind you this is just for a landing challenge. It can also be done on custom bush flights but we have not tried.

during take off ,they usually play some classical music or so irl.
I think it would be nice to be able to assign certain songs to specif key moments in the flight
For example

Taking off

Reaching max altitude

Landing

Ive done flights with each of those songs on loop though  but it would add a certain effect if played at certain moments for sure

They could also make ingame radio channels ,like in GTA
