You are absolutely right. The only reason I didn’t suggest that above is because if I were Orbx, I wouldn’t touch that until after MS2024, whereas visual effects and sounds could safely be added now. I say this because Microsoft/Asobo has to add something along these lines so the base-game crop dusting is functional. Orbx can then piggyback off of that and probably save months of work. But in the end, yes, they need to have both.
I’ll say this though…to “pretend” to cropdust, having dual 750s in the cockpit with one of them on satellite image is really nice as you can always see the field on the display.
I did a fair bit of this using the EMB200, but Jimbo’s cockpit is a little more sophisticated for proper ag spraying. I’d like to see this in MSFS 2024, but I’m not hopeful tbh, it’s complex - but very slick.
There’s a whole bunch of ag strip addons for Masterson area that look just like the video below.
These airtractors have now also been heavily armored/weaponized for special operations support, and going gangbusters at it.
I never really linked the two before but I can kinda see why. I also like ground attack in combat flight sims over air to air stuff so maybe that’s why I’m also fond of the crop dusting. 2024 will also have water bombing which I’m also very much looking forward to.
Two of use jumped out of one of these once in Oz.
Asked an Ag pilot if he would take us up, he was game.
The hopper just fit two us, and were dusted with a fine white coating of something we tried not to breathe in too much.
Thanks for sharing that video. I love watching interviews of combat vets from years gone by. They were some tough dudes.
To bring it back to the PAC, I haven’t flown the aircraft in a few months, but I’ll take a Comanche break and give it a spin tonight. The PAC has a lot of potential and fills a pretty unique niche in the aircraft ecosystem. Low-wing bush/paradrop/crop duster…pretty cool mission set. I credit ORBX for fixing stuff even if it takes a while. No idea how many people are on the project, but at least they haven’t abandoned it. I’m really, really glad they’re still working on a sound update though. That’s the first thing I noticed when I flew it.

This is not the end of development for the PAC 750. Post-release, we intend to include a custom PT-6 sound pack, failures, more highly-detailed liveries, landing challenges, bush trips and more.
Custom PT-6 sound pack: NO.
Failures: NO.
More highly-detailed liveries: NO.
Landing Challenges: NO.
Bush Trips: NO.
More: NO.
0/6 after a whole year.
See you again in Oct 4 2024!
I don’t understand how they can put all the effort in to make a great base package (a lot of work, and very well done really in a lot of aspects) and then just drop the project when they know they had a plan and they even re-confirmed at LEAST this part I quote below from 3rd March was being worked on.
…are they still alive?
Unfortunately they have been moved over to my “long barge poll” list now
It leaves a sour taste and there is so much good and SUPPORTED quality offerings out there now that there is no point in putting up with this attitude. And lack of contact with the customers / community. All very strange.
Yeah … some developers will never learn that money is only the 2nd most important thing that they want from their customers. The most important thing is trust … and making money very much hinges on keeping promises and maintaining that trust.
You mean like Got Friends? That work on about 5 things concurrently. And manage to do updates plus regular improvements to all their existing products. And keep in touch with the community and show what they are doing. And put out free products and fun toys at the same time. And maybe get some sleep too.
Just saying, it’s possible. These guys have chosen not to for whatever reason.

Some developers are working on more than one project.
Nobody forces you to make promises you are not going to keep.
I don’t care if Orbx is working in one, zero or 45 projects now, they released the P750 along with a bunch of promises and they haven’t fullfilled a single one of them.

Please don’t reply to say these are not promises but a roadmap of wonderful enhancements that they kindly gave us in case we were interested in their wildest dreams.
