I had something similar a while back in Wupperthal and think it’s probably corrupt tile data on the Bing servers. Maybe a coincidence but shortly after reporting it’s location to Zendesk it got fixed.

On the otherhand it could be military and they are scared you might observe their secrets

Edit: on the other otherhand it could just be bad editing where two blocks of PG meet.

After initially being very satisfied with the new scenery for the greater Oslo area I have taken a closer look and found some rather dissapointing results. A similar post has already been made adressing the issue. Here are some further examples of bad photogrammetry.

What does it look like on Bing maps? if it’s the same only better data or attention by hand will fix it and often outlaying suburbs just aren’t important enough to warrant the extra manpower when so many other inner cities still have issues. Also individual LOD levels can vary (although for this shot I think it’s less of a problem). If Bing maps’ PG actually looks better I’d say it should be updated by the time FS2024 is released

Bing maps isn’t as bad as the MSFS photogrammetry results. I have no good explanation as to why Oslo and the surrounding area looks like it’s been hit by a category 9 earthquake in certain places. The randomly placed vegetation on buildings might have come from grass covering the top of real life buildings. Oslo has alot of vegetation decorating the city and the AI they use might have overexaggerated their size quite a bit.

Good! … that probably means new imagery on the way, possibly to coincide with MSFS2024. It might well be being processed as we speak (colour corrections, shadows removing etc.)

I’m guessing it’s blurred because it’s a military camp. Regjeringskvartalet (Government quarter) is also blurred.
