You can always try the search feature in the forums. You’ll get more responses and help if you post in a current/correct thread VS posting a new thread for every question…
Developer of the MV-22 here. The Osprey has a bit of a learning curve as it is such an unconventional aircraft. As such, it is very important that you read the manual and perhaps watch a few tutorials.
Hi. Thanks. I however I dont do cold and dark or systems. I just do rudimentary flying from external view mostly for fun. So my main goal is just what lever or button to press/ assign, to tilt the rotors.
Regardless of the type of flying, it is very important that you familiarize yourself with the “Important Need-to-Knows” in the manual, otherwise, you won’t have a good flying experience with the Osprey - even in basic rudimentary flying.
There are features such as engine limitations and VRS that you must be aware of, or know how to deactivate (all explained here: Important Need-to-Knows - Miltech Simulations Documentation Hub). The Osprey is also quite unique in the way Autopilot and Lighting functions.
Finally, there is an entire section on how to operate the nacelles (Under “Controller Settings”). For these, you must clear out of assignments two buttons on your controller and assign “COWL FLAP 4 INCREASE and COWL FLAP 4 DECREASE” accordingly.
Thanks. I did the mapping of the Cowl flaps already, so that helped. The in sim loading screen tips told me that which was helpful. Not sure what VRs is and I don’t do autopilot. I took a spin with the Osprey now with the cowl mappings and no other manual study and had a good time.
Just trying to lend a helping hand. It is forum etiquette to search for your subject before starting a new thread. It’s much easier to keep the conversations and people interested organized. I was simply eluding to my screen shot of the search feature and link to the Main Osprey thread. I wouldn’t take punctuality personally.
