Our own ATC in your private group flights

Flight simulation is great nowadays, there are many groups of people that fly together and thanks to tools like Transmitter / Little NavMap you can see each other on the map.

For us, there was something missing, we have been looking for an ATC tool that we could use for our group flights. it has taken us a long time but we didn’t find anything that worked for us so we decided to build something of our own. We are not developers but simply enthousiasts, a lot of work and help of our “partner” Cursor, an AI program tool. We have made a simple webbased system with an API connection to Simconnect and the use of our own Transmitter server (many thanks to Jonathan Beckett for all the work he has put in Transmitter and sharing his code). That was the start. Around it we build a number of extra screens like an ATC tool where the ATC’er could give commands to the pilots. The LAC (Last ATC Call) is also visible on the label in the Transmitter radar screen and we started with a simple flightstrip system to help the ACT’er. Everything is still basic but it works. The webapp is still in development and the next version has an improved Flightstrip system, like in the real world.

The radar screen is the work of Jonathan Becketts Transmitter, we just altered it a bit by adding the LAC (Last ATC Code) in the plane label and connected the data and added our own.

This is just a hobby project and I guess that I am not alone that is trying to build something that works for us. I would like to team up with people / developers that want to work together in order to build something that we can enjoy with our common flightsim hobby.
