PA-24 Comanche Replica Controls

The AuthentiKit community have released their much awaited add-on to the Comanche TPM. Slotting in to the left, using our Underdesk Mounting System is the Magneto/Starter and screwing to the base of the TPM is the 3 position gear lever.

The controls were developed with the assistance of A2A who shared CAD with us to ensure these are 1:1 replicas of the real thing. The TPM uses hydraulic damping to provide a very satisfying resistance to movement of the levers. The magneto is 4 position just like the Comanche and the gear lever is 3 position.

You can’t buy these controls. You assemble them from a kit like lego without soldering, screwing, drilling, programming. Apart from the bearings, screws etc the body parts are all 3D printed and you can print these at home from the free downloads. Here’s the link: PA-24 Comanche - AuthentiKit Downloads

If you don’t have a 3D printer you can ask members of the community to print for you as part of our Community Approved Printing scheme. There are links for different options in the URL above.

The controls are PC compatible only with a single USB, with the 3 separate controls connecting via a Universal Hub.

I realise it would have been nicer if I’d shown a photo of the real thing. Here’s a pic from the assembly video - just wish I’d been holding the magneto/starter box the right way up at this point.
